Suggestions Thread For Skywind and Skyblivion.

Submitted by Ted95 on

This suggestion board is for Skywind and Skyblivion. Tips on modeling and textures, answers to unanswered problems, replacements, really anything related to the subject.

For Skyblivion, the Priests of Order and Jyggalag may be easier to recreate if the textures and models from the Dragonborn DLC's dragon priest masks were used. Such as Dukaan, among others. The similarity is close enough to make a good replacement.

The dragon priests themselves are liches, creating proper liches in skyblivion should be quite easy using them.

For the Graahl in Skywind, it may be a wise idea to use horker skin textures in place, as well as mammoth for the similar head and tusks.

An elder scroll will be needed to make the time gaps canon with the franchise. It isn't as if the Psiijics and Dwemer haven't time traveled before you did. The character can be made the same individual through time travel and reincarnation to make it make sense.

An optional form of transportation can be by dragon with the Bend Will shout from the Dragonborn DLC.

Cliffracers could be replaced by juvenile dragons (if it doesn't ruin the story) or they could be constantly competing for food.

Hermaeus Mora tentacles from Dragonborn would have to be used for the Dreugh. Mudcrab claws could function as beaks.

These are all examples of my suggestions. As I brainstorm more, I will post them.

I highly advise the original Bloodmoon werewolf textures be updated while still retaining the same look. I know many people (myself included) who saw the Skyrim werewolf as a tragedy by comparison.

Since Red Mountain is clearly visible from Solstheim in Dragonborn, Vvardenfell should be able to be swam to. It was possible in the original Morrowind, I know from experience.

It would be a wise idea to scout the Nexus for modders adept at creating creatures. Martigen, Dogtown01, Ironman5000, these individuals have a proven, and critically acclaimed knack for this.

For Velothi structures, horker and mammoth tusk textures can be used. They are virtually identical.

Anyone familiar with the console can tell that to create levitation spells, all one needs is scripting knowledge and the command "tcl" barring the "walk through objects" aspect.

Golden saints should use the model from Oblivion in both Skywind and Skyblivion, albeit with updated textures that may already be available through mods.

There may be no need for voice acting if the sound files are used interchangeably.

Yagrum Bagarn's survival may be explained as the "Outer Realms" he refers to may be the same way my prior suggestion works: the machinations of time travel and reincarnation.

Dagoth Ur takes on a similar walking stance to the Falmer. It may be possible to exploit that.

Fully function, lore-accurate Guar and Durzog are already available through the use of the skyrim Monster Mod. The only difference is the size is somewhat smaller.

I hope you come to actually help developing instead of suggesting. Threads such as "I think you should ..." don't end up well in the long run.

Several examples:

"Golden saints should use the model from Oblivion...", go port a model from Oblivion with full rigging.

"It would be a wise idea to scout the Nexus for modders adept at creating creatures...", go and scout, talk to them.

"An optional form of transportation can be by dragon with the Bend Will shout from the Dragonborn DLC", go and script this in CK for Skywind.

"I highly advise the original Bloodmoon werewolf textures be updated while still retaining the same look", you are free to do it yourself.

I hope you got the point. Do something first, then open a thread showing your work for discussion and ideas.

The suggestion to actual work ratio on these forums are rediculous! haha

The levitation is fixed in the next release. (It has nothing to do with tcl)

Please take this a bit more seriously. I already am helping out files wise. I have acquaintances, experienced Nexus modders, willing to help out. I am an average experienced modder who has made a few script and companion mods. Admittedly some are bad suggestions. But not all. This is not a sitewide mess. It is one thread for the purpose of suggestions. Please be a bit more respectful. I'm no moderator, but take it easy people. We all want these mods completed. We all learn from trial and error what we do and don't do.

Yeah there has been no shortage of "suggestions" threads.  Happened a lot with Morroblivion too.

"Too many chiefs, not enough indians."

this thread is just taking up space in the feed, you can already see that nothing has been "suggested" in the comments like the author wanted people to do. you might as well delete the topic.

@LASentry:
As main topic indicates you need to suggest that this topic gets deleted.

This thread is pretty much pointless in the highest degree. Modders are here because they want to be here, and progress is based off what modders want to do, not what other people want them to do. I suggest you change the nature of this thread to, I'm taking your suggestion. Not, here take my suggestions.

I read your suggestions and they make no sense to me.

Dagoth Ur on the Falmer Skeleton would look awful. If anything, vampire lord has the most similar appearance

also if happychappy or eloth is reading this, I'll be back from my business trip on Monday or Tuesday. I'm so tired.. Lol I didn't think this would be so long.
