you have to wait a while and then you will be in control of your character.

I dont think you understand, i can move but i cant do anything such as attack or open my inventory, even the customs office in seyda neen is locked.

Yeah I am having the same issue as above.  The game is treating me as though I never assigned my character a class or skills and abilities at the beggining, which I did not as I was never given the option ( I did try and just sit there for 15 mins and initiate conversations with the pertinent NPC's to try and jump start the selection process).  So even when I leave the ship and lockpick my way into the customs office nothing seems to allow me access to my map or character screen.  Any Ideas on this issue would be greatly appreciated.  Looking like an amazing experience though and thank you to all thehard work put out for this!

Ok so for a temporary solution to this problem use show race menu and it will jump start everything for you ... you will need to go stand in front of the guard on the bridge that connects the boat to the census office and wait for the trigger to activate but after that everything seems to work as far as menus are concerned.

Sadly the guy who made the quest is gone until tomorrow, so for now, just type "coc seydasneen01" in the console at the title screen.

you just have to keep activating the guard standing on the bridge until you can create a character and the door unlocks.

Ok I tested again with the new release and I don't face any issue.

Can you please check the following:

1/ uncheck all your mods and keep only in your load order Skyrim.esm, Skywind.esm, Skywind - Patch.esp

2/ If you're a modder, check that you use the full Skywind.esm (approximatively 237 Mb)

3/ verify that skywind.bsa is installed in your data folder along with your esp/esm files and that it has been updated to the latest version (included in the master release)

3/ If you installed a previous version of skywind, remove all loose files:

- fbmw*.psc or - skywind*.psc in data/scripts/source

- fbmw*.pex or skywind*.pex in data/scripts/

[The only reason would to have those files loose is if you work on scripts for skywind]

4/ BACKUP and remove the loose files data/scripts/source/QF_MQ101_0003372B.psc and data/scripts/QF_MQ101_0003372B.pex

[those you should backup because they're vanilla]

If all this is verified, please post as many information as you can about your local setup:

- Skyrim version

- Skywind version

- load order list

- list of mod installed (even if not active in the previous tests)

- Skywind optional packages downloaded....

...

Modifying vanilla scripts is a bad practice, the right way is to extend them. There was a talk about it on official forum recently (involving SKSE developer) http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1463261-wip-creation-kit-extender/page-2#entry22765094

Totally agree. However for this particular instance, I don't know if we can override it since it's pretty much hardcoded in behind the "new game" button. I'll revisit this when I have some time (also need to check how the alternate start game mods implemented this).

For all those that can't make the chargen work, until we understand and fix the bug:

in skyrim main menu, open the console and type

coc seydasneen01

setstage fbmwMQ01 1

help "Package for Caius Cosades"

write down the id and type

player.addItem <ID> 1

At this point you are at the same point as if you went through chargen (except you have extra equipment, you don't have your birthsign and the census doors will be locked - you can unlock them using the console).

Also, can you try to install fus roh do

(requires SKSE)
