At one time, I had no interest in gettin' the TES:0nline But after seeing the game trailers for the Xbox One. I must say I might be changing my mind.
I had read somewhere that it was not going to have first person gameplay, but with this new trailer, that appears to no longer be the case. There are several shots of first person gameplay one was really cool, it was some sort of chain drag spell, made me think of Mortal Kombat,,,,, "Get Over Here".
I just hope that First person will not be a Console only thing.
Anyways, any of you folks thinking of getting this game when it comes out?

Like any other MMO the content will be free for download.
I don't say no to free stuff, but will not pay to play.
i wanne play it because i want to explore the elder scroll world
but i also dislike pay to play and thats what it probely gone be
i wil just see when it comes out what it gone be mmo always sucks so much time from me
I Don't think there will be much to explore, unless you have 3 characters, as you can't enter enemy worldspace. Most of worldspace will be DLC like content as in WOW for additional missions and content. The worst part is that it will not be a free open worldspace with limitations and silly rules. Like "You cant kill this player" WOW style, you need to go to PVP zone.
I really hate that, "You can't enter enemy territory", and ,"You can't kill this player here" stuff, it honestly makes no sense.
yea but it would be worth it if you could figure out how to adapt stuff to the skyrim engine with little work involved, I know but sometimes wishful thinking pays off. I would buy it for that purpose alone.
On one side, never played any MMO + Skywind/Skyblivion project + subscription fees (knowing my amount of gaming time is really fluctuant) + gameplay mechanics + graphic styles a bit cartoon
On the other side, it's the f$$$ing elder scrolls (and supposedly all Tamriel).
I'm just already seeing limitations that I don't like: "you can visit other areas when you're level 50" -> that's the exact opposite of the TES spirit.
Not all mmos are free to download then p2p some are like DCUO, 60$ to download 5-15$ after that. I bet it'll be free to play eventually. It'll probably suck but i'll still give it a chance just because it's an elder scrolls game. It might be fun to actually play with some of the folks here. or to see if skyrim modders will try to make "elder scrolls online offline" also the meshes look pretty good and i hope zenimax releases them to skyrim modder. (then i might actually believe massive modding groups when they say we're making most of tamriel. I also want to see the Summerset Isle architecture. its detailed architecture has kill many mods the attempt to create it. (or just made them suck).
Why would anyone want to pay continuously for a MMO in order to play single / multiplayer quest lines? It’s just another NPC based mission grinding system to get coins to pay for fancy PVP equipment.
It will be same as WOW with messages like “You can’t attack / kill this player in this zone”, “You can’t enter this zone at this level” and “To enter the PVP zone you need level 50”. It’s just a very crappy concept of a game that used to have total player freedom.

Because it's "THE ELDER SCROLLS"
I've personally never played WoW, but I've played Korean MMOs, and if ESO is anything like them, I don't think I'm going to enjoy ESO. Korean MMOs are super grindy and have a shit ton of fetch quests.
Oh joy, I cannot wait to grind my level 2 thief Dark Elf on Scribs in Morrowind.
Also, something about playing a TES game that I cannot download mods for just makes me feel iffy about the game. Oblivion without mods is terribad, Skyrim without mods is boring.
Ok watched the latest youtube on TESO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWXjzLEGV9U specifically because it was around some Morrowind areas.
A solid 3/10
Man there is a lot of hate in the comments, its looking bad for Zenimax
hopefully it'll be more like DCUO which had way to many quests (i was still doing level 20 quests when i was a level 30) I hope it's more ES then O
The combat looks like they took skyrim and said lets add a bunch of useless moves and extras to it. I really hope it's more fun then it looks. Still though skyrims combat became a stats game at the end of the day. No skill was needed and leveling up was pointless. Imo skyrim has fairly bad combat all together (impossible to develop your own play style because there is only one strategy to it all: keep mashing the attack button and move back or shield when a power attack come to you and it's even worse on the other weapon types) so I, wouldn't be surprised if this was even worse. animations look a bit choppy in 3RD person (as with all mmos) though combat does look a tad bit more fluid then other mmos. It's probably gonna suck and i'm probably still gonna get it...
Well, now that I know it's subscription based, I don't think I'll bother with ESO. I'll stick to my superior console TES games, thank you very much.
Look if it was buy to play, then I would be like asking everybody on this website to get a team together and have some fun with some causal gaming.
But a $15/month subscription, they can go to hell, eat sh*t and die as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe we should do a poll on the website? Actually I might do that just for curiosity.
