Wrong Quest Bug - Workaround?

First, for those relevant folks, I would like to express great thanks for all the hard work that has gone into Morroblivion. It is wonderful!

I have a small problem. I am going through the Hlaalu quests, and somehow when I got the "Telvanni at Odirniran" quest, my game actually gave me the Telvanni version of the quest!

So, I am a little stuck as far as advancing in the Hlaalu quest line.

If nothing else, is there a way I can use the console to manually remove the quest and add the right one for myself? Or any other workaround?

I have checked the dialogue and it should give you the correct quest. (You get it from Edryno Arethi, right?)

However, I remember fixing something about this pair of quests not long ago. Do you use the latest master - v058? Also, do you have any other mods for Morroblivion?

I got the quest from Edryno Arethi in Vivec, yes. Her dialogue seemed fine, but I found myself with the Telvanni quest in my log. I presumed it was just an error with the quest log entry, but going to Odirniran played out the Telvanni version of the quest to the end.

I only downloaded and installed Morroblivion a few months ago (April '13) so I'm pretty sure it was v0.58 I installed.

As for other mods, I've got nothing else installed except some unofficial patches and bug fixes. Attached is a picture displaying my enabled ESP files.

Well, Morroblivion v058 was released on April 27, so you really should update.

After that it's best to go to the save before taking that quest.

I see. Indeed, the timestamp for my Morroblivion files are from just a few days before that.

I accepted that quest a long time ago, so to rollback that far would be very damaging (and quite possibly impossible if I have no gamesave from back then).

Do you have any other suggested approaches?

SetStage fbmwHHOdirniran 100 will complete the Hlaalu version of the quest, allowing you to take more quests from Edryno.

There's no way to remove the completed Telvanni version from your journal, though.

Can I enter "SetStage fbmwHTOdirniran 100" to complete the Telvanni quest, and enter "SetStage fbmwHHOdirniran 10" to start the Hlaalu quest fresh?

You can try, but results will depend on which characters you already killed in Odirniran.
