[Beta] Dwarven Spectre

Ok here is the dwarven spectre. Please try it and tell me if it works. http://www.mediafire.com/?5jgz5oc0r25vtlc I've given the spectre only the ability to cast spells ... ghosts can't punch you. Consider using the AI settings used for the willo-wisp. There is no Havok or fading on death .... I need a confirmation that everything else is working before i set on doing that. ------------------------------------------------- Here is the next version ... for whenever someone is available to test it in the game. This one is supposed to vanish on death like the ancestral ghost. If this method works I will also apply it to the bonelord's robes. How About the Cliffracer?

I am sure Yoshimo will get to this. I have not pursued adding these myself because I am up to my ears in the Main Quest and merging the stuff Yoshimo keeps sending me--including your Kwama Queen. In the meantime, would you please revisit the Cliffracer? Eloth did a hotfix for me so that it wouldn't CTD, but having dead Cliffracers hovering in mid-air is not very lore friendly or immersive.

Skywocker, it is not going to "Spawn" anywhere. There is no ESP included. This is a modder's resource; it needs to be added to the game. That is what Yoshimo has been doing. It took him quite a while to get the hang of it. I have never done it so I would be starting from scratch.

Yoshimo Probably Won't Be Doing This

I just got a message from Yoshimo that he is moving on. He has realized that Morrowind works perfectly well on his Play Station, so Oh well. That's that, and that is the way he is. I am truly grateful for his help. I would never have ventured into this had I not known that he would be there to help. But, we have gotten far enough along that I will certainly continue without him, albiet at a much reduced rate. Yoshimo knew Morrowind; I do not. I certainly hope your or Eloth can add this to the game because I'm not sure any present players will live long enough to see that day that I get around to doing it...

the spectre dont want to fight hand to hand because you forgot the equip and unequip kf files. and when i kill it the game crash to desktop. other than that it seems to be working.

@eloth: Thank you for testing :) Can you confirm that its the last version that you have tested ... the one with only a skeleton and no body.nif ? I was thinking that it didn't need an equip animation since its only casting spells. Anyways if its needed I'll add some handtohand attacks and equip this weekend. Regarding the CTD I would like to hope that it is a similar issue as with the cliffracer rather than the fading effect. By the way ... what did you do in your hotfix skeleton.nif for the cliffracer to prevent it from crashing ???

Happened with me once ... you know its rather easy to go back to morrowind ... fully functional ... without having to go through the frustrating modding process to resurrect the most basic stuff. However this is something you can't have in morrowind ... even with all the mods. Because the engine simply can not do that. Similarly group battles, AI, Hi-poly models, better spell visuals, better melee and ranged combat, ... the list goes on. Morroblivion has the potential to become more than what morrowind was or could ever become and I think that is what keeps the project alive.

Thanks for listing those errors ... they'll be helpful in debugging. The problem however probably does not lie in death.kf but in skeleton.nif Death.kf is simply complaining that it can't find these meshes that its supposed to vanish.

Thanks again. Though if the CS spawns no errors and indeed plays the animations fine ... I am getting more and more doubtful that its an issue with Havok instead of the death animation. Or it could even be a lack of unequip ... heard of crashes with that.

Can you also please test the very first version (http://www.mediafire.com/?5jgz5oc0r25vtlc) This one isn't supposed to fade on death and has a seperate body and skeleton. I just want to know if this one crashes on death. If it does then we can be sure that it has something to do with havok\unequip.
