Nor Amrour Models?

Armor/weapons are still being worked on. I think what you see are basically there as place holders so things can be set up. If your interested in texturing/modeling/creating some stuff that would be cool. I have been looking into it myself trying to see what's what. I compiled a lot of good quality pictures of original Morrowind armors/weapons. Hopefully make a little something that can make seeing what they looked like compared to what is proposed for the updates easier.

Anything you see with the wrong model, be it random clothes, rats with odd names, or cups, it just means they're placeholders and will be replaced with the correct item.

Hey Ive been lurking the forums here for a long time now and finally decided to join up and I'd like to help out in any way I can, truth be told though I don't know where to start so this seemed like a good place as I have some skill with modelling weapons, although not necessarily texturing. Khar and Mehh you two seem to know what's what here, could you maybe point me in the right direction?

If you can model good and can get them in game that is perfect! There is an armor thread but its a little outdated but the bulk is there. I would love to see some cool custom armors made up, or even crafted via nifscope if they look right. Texturing is always good too but if you make something cool and can't/wont texture it I might be bale to take it and find someone who can or vice-versa.

Honestly I've never tried making armor, it might be a nice endeavor. I worked on a mod a while back with a few others but it fell through due to lack of interest, I ended up being the sole weapon modeler, and I can get them ingame as well, I'm just a terrible texture artist.

Sounds good, there is plenty to be made. Also I am not sure where it is officially but there are a lot of free to use mods that can add weapons/armors. Famously The 3rd Era Mod on nexus among others. You could work on making a plug-in for Skywind that merges those weapons in, as opposed to the now place holder models. So instead of the old Morrowind model swords it would have them from 3rd Era, or the newly allowed InsanitySorrow Dwemer stuff (as well as others I am hunting down just for fun). There are many out there just waiting to be swapped out. If you could do that sort of thing it would be awesome to have a plug-in that puts them into action.

There is some info, but it is kind of confusing and has not been updated in a while. But its a good place to start. I hope to have some pictures to update it with sometime shortly just to make it easier to see what's what if I can. Armors and weapons would be awesome. Same with monsters running around..

Ah you replied right after I editted my last post, I actually just found that page as well.

Pretty much it sounds like there are 3 things:

Existing Skyrim/DLC armor/weapons

Converted Morroblivion Armor/weapons

Custom Made User Armor/Mod added armor/weapons

I would love to see more custom Morrowind updates to replace some of the still being worked on conversions. So if you can model, or retex or niff scope out cool stuff much help would be fantastic! Also I have no idea how it works, but try to envision any armor you make so the shoulders can come off. Morrowind had pauldrons and they have a cool thing worked out to get them working in Skywind. 

Yeah Id heard about the pauldrens, Ill be honest when I say I never played morrowind, I own it but never played it. So I thought this would be a great project because I want to play the game as it would be today.

Well Ill let you know when Ive made something, although it probably wont be for a few days I want to do some research and play a bit of morrowind and skywind to get a feel for it and the aesthetic of it

Eloth actually has gotten pretty much all the armors fixed up, except the unique ones, and a few others. He would be the best person to pm at the moment.

That sounds cool! Is there anyway to get a look at all of them to make comparisons? It would be good to have pictures of all the originals and what is available as the update to Skywind. If I could get the file I would take screens and all that so it doesn't waist your guys time. Mite make it easier for people to tell what's what and what they may want to make.
