I vote for V. We've already been using V, and we're basically turning Morrowind into an expansion for Skyrim -- typically, expansions take the sequel number of their base game.

It is strange. The figures do not indicate the version of the engine, they indicate the number of stories that tells us the game. So I think that we should still use the number 3. Or use The Elder Scrolls title without any numbers.
How about just "Skywind"? It's not like this is a commercial release...
The official naming convention is as follows:
The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard
The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn
The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal
The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon
The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles
But we aren't making an Elder Scrolls title, this is a mod. Falskaar calls itself "Falskaar," Tamriel Rebuilt calls itself "Tamriel Rebuilt." Morroblivion is famous under that name, not The Elder Scrolls IV: Morroblivion. That just sounds pompous and silly.
I might be an ass for saying this but frankly I'm sure everyone doing the dirty work, those guys scripting, modeling, etc. etc. will agree that this thread is more or less a waste of time.
I actually do agree, but when we do logos and stuff, it looks a lot better with the classic TES style "The Elder Scrolls X" then the line, then the title.
no most think the engine that drives that game whit that number thus it sounds stupid
i'm for the V
or this :))
Elder Scrolls 8's my vote.
I just facepalmed...

Depends on how you read it. For all you know it's Elder Scrolls 2, just written strangely! :P
I see that picture as "Elder Scrolls 3 in Elder Scrolls V" so it looks fine to me, "Morrowind in Skyrim" game engine.
Why don't we go in between, and make it 4? Seems like the logical choice no?
it was a joke

A new type of "transition" thread :)

Get motivated! Do some hard work!
