Skywind Standalone

Submitted by marin.maltaric on

Is it possible to build standalone version of skywind... something like nehrim have?
(yea you had to have skyrim and morrowind installed)

That would be great....to play only skywind (morrowind) without skyrim landmass...

Just an idea....

The first version of Skywind was "standalone", not depending on skyrim.esm.

Ended up badly.

Don't understand this kind of request, seriously...

If you don't want to got to skyrim, then don't go to skyrim. Does the simple fact that the skyrim landmass exists somewhere in the game annoys you this much?

Nope it does not bother me ... just wandering if its possible to be independent of vanilla skyrim data

It would be very convenient. It will be possible to install the mods independently without affecting Skyrim :)

Hmmm, but what about the amazing Skyrim realism mods out there? I do want to use Frostfall for Skywind, you know.

I don't know why you'd want to use Frostfall for Skywind, Vvardenfell was never really all that frosty. :)

It would be great to see in Skywind such mods as: "Wet and Cold", "Wet and Cold Ashes", "Footprints" and others.
It seems to me that a standalone game will be more correct and more convenient.                  It may be necessary to take the entire database file Skyrim, making it impossible to transition from Skyrim to Morrowind and making the hidden beginning of a new game of Skyrim and Skyrim world map. Just remove the marker of the transition from Skyrim to Morrowind and making the hidden map of the world of Skyrim. Ideally it would be cool to have a separate folder for the save data in the documents.  Sorry my English :)

If you want compatibility with those mods you just have to make a patch, that's very simple (footrpints already has an ash version, you just have to make it work with skywind land textures).

There's no need to piss off all the people who still want to have the choice to go to skyrim : /

A stand alone would be cool but I doubt whether Bethesda will co-operate.

And Bethesda is going to work at all? When they legalized Skywind?

Skywind is on the right edge of legal as long as we don't use morrowind resources...

Andoran and Enderal no such problems as they do not use the world of TES?

Yeah I think so but I've never really looked into those games other than searching up videos.
