Oh yeah totally this ALL will get redone try to imagine it naked like just the model and then do something like the original texture just updated and "pimped" out.. I want it to be as hard to tell as I can from what it used to be originaly. Like the pauldrons could be like goldish and engraved or something idk
I'm a pretty big dunsky sometimes and I can't for the life of me figure out the chat.. but I did get all the clothes/shoes opened up lol so I can kind of pull from this and that. Theres some cool stuff that would work great with some tweeks and textures
so white is the new pants, that you have taken from skyrim? great, then the next step would be to either put the morroblivion texture to new model(would require you too learn uv mapping in max, which you MUST learn anyway) or you could get someone to modify skyrim texture to look like morroblivion texture.
I will probably do the get someone else to do the skyrim texture over choice of those 2 lol No if all else fails I'll try to tackle UV map stuff but I'll just try to get all the assets matched up and messed with for now. I bet I can rope Marin in on some retex work later, just don't want to swamp him out right now ;)
What about split clothes? Are we dead set on having shirts, and pants? It's cool if we are but if I could make them as one it would open up more options as some of the pants cut off in some spots due to skyrims shirts coming down. But If not I'll keep making them separate. Also the originals from morrowind share a lot of the base mesh. Its funky and hard to tell what exactly is going on and they all taper at the end. Is it ok to switch some of these up? Heres some pant options so far:
yeah, aslong as you try to come up with the closest match you can find, we will cheer for you gladly ;)
we are not sure about the separate shirt/pants sollution yet, so its probably best if you make complete outfits, than we can separate later if it needed.
Ok I put some of the shirts with some of the pants. I'll just mix and match them for now. I'll make like 5-6 common outfits, and a few nice ones... If anybody is into texturing some of these things let me know and I'll get you what you need :)
Just made a grid with all the shirts and pants. 8 shirts, 6 pants, 48 male varieties lol
I hope it will be splitted in the future, I hated how bethesda removed this option in skyrim (there is a "greaves return" mod on the nexus, it uses the body slot for the cuirass and slot 52 for greaves, with some wearable legs if you have only the cuirass (could be scripted to be automaticaly equipped)).
Yes it does suck that you cant pick pants :( it limits the choices a lot. I have 2 types or classes I'm going for, the more common outfits most people wear, and more expensive nicer outfits. I'm working on female ideas now. Hopefully I'll have a set of about 6-7 outfits for each sex per class soon then I can focus on making them cool and hopefully some sweet new textures at some point. If anyone reading this likes to texture stuff shoot me a PM :) I have a list lol
Yeah at first they will have stock textures just to get the ball rolling then sweet textures can be easily swaped out. Although I must warn that the vanilla textures look funky with some of the combos, like sheos purple fancy pants with a farmers shirt lol On the female side there arn't alot of "shirts" for females so I was thinking of tinkering around with making some out of existing stuff or should all the chicks wear dresses? Whats the consensus on chick clothes?
Obviously the black hand is going to be removed, and the whole outfit will be textured so that the pieces look nice together, correct?
Also, I wouldn't put Daedric symbols or markings on the noble clothing. We don't want to plaster a big Daedric symbol on the back of some rich devout worshipper of the Tribunal or the Divines. Keep all the clothing nice and neutral. That way we won't have to worry about clothing contradicting dialog.
The Good Daedra are known to the Temple as the Anticipations, since they are the early ancestral anticipations of the loving patronage of the Tribunal. The Anticipations are the Daedra Lords Boethiah, Mephala, and Azura.
They later become recognised as the True Tribunal
The Daedric alphabet isn't really associated with Daedra worship anyway, it's more or less the standard written alphabet for Dunmer in Tamriel.
Many of the cities in Morrowind feature banners displaying the city name in Daedric.
The city of Vivec has various religious platitudes written in Daedric on banners throughout the city.
The letters are used as textural elements of various items, such as Bonemold armor.
Certain clothing items bear Daedric text, an example being one type of expensive robe, where the messages "LEARN B(Y) SERVING" and "FAITH IS ONL(Y) LAW " can be read on the yellow sash
I would either make the Black Hand the Hand of the Tribunal or a phrase from The Book of Dawn and Dusk, which is a collection of common religious platitudes for the Dunmer that they like to plaster everywhere (see: the banners in Vivec and the robes that lifelong mentioned).
A quick not if you do decide to use The Book of Dawn and Dusk: make sure to heed the Daedric script guidelines given in the article that lifelong linked. Don't use the letter "Y" unless it's in a proper noun, and – due to the shape of the space – try clustering your words (as seen on banners throughout Vvardenfell), it will make it seem more like it fits in with the aesthetic of the rest of the game.
Ok i got ravanna on the first initial uvmapping/texturing phase, he is going to make some uv`s that will fit on most clothing, and make a retexturing .psd example, that will make it supereasy to make textures for all clothing.
Thanks man :) I really couldn't say, there's still a lot to be done on them as far as different weight sizes, shoes, gloves, textures, adjusting/fitting, rigging, compiling and yeah lol but there underway. I also want to to hats if I can come up with some ideas.
Waiting on confirmation to use these hats I found. I think with a little work they could be really cool :) they have some the flavor of those drawings. What do you guys think?
A few are crazy lol but the big colored rectangle things turn into fancy see through feathers in game. I don't know, with a little adjusting here and there and some retexes that match clothes styles, I think some of them would be cool. The sun screen ones would look cool on like common farmer type people and the fancy ones would go great with the fancy shirts and pants outfits. They don't go so good with the robes, but robes are normally worn with hoods anyway... that reminds me.. hoods! :)
Thanks! They turned out cool, a few need a little adjusting but thats the basic sets anyway.
..and for all the fashion forward fellas.. here is the male fancy robe set:
[snip]
ahem.. check out the belt buckle...
I love the belt buckle! One problem...
Anyone wearing that would likely be locked up and tortured in the Ministry of Truth for the rest of their days. Unless we only put Dissidant Priests and maybe Ashlanders in it, it's probably not smart to wear a giant Moon-and-Star belt buckle. :P
well, atleast recolor the pauldron part of the texture, to a more yellow color like the original

Perhaps you should just go to chat. If the chat isn't working for you, just unadblock/unnoscript iflychat.
I'm a pretty big dunsky sometimes and I can't for the life of me figure out the chat.. but I did get all the clothes/shoes opened up lol so I can kind of pull from this and that. Theres some cool stuff that would work great with some tweeks and textures
Start of Expensive01u:
white is new color is morroblivion

What about the DLCs? can I tap into those clothes?
hmm, would have to discuss that
Ok just let me know, there are some cool bits in each one
there is also a ton of clothes on the nexus, other than skimpy clothing ;)
A lot of those fancier clothing items from Skyrim are only ever worn by certain Jarls, and they look pretty awesome. Should work nicely for Skywind.

Hard at work!

Great work anyway ; )

cant you just use the default textures for now? then it will be easier for people to make retextures.
Yeah, you could just use the original textures and then tint them on Photoshop, change saturation, contrast, etc.
Yeah at first they will have stock textures just to get the ball rolling then sweet textures can be easily swaped out. Although I must warn that the vanilla textures look funky with some of the combos, like sheos purple fancy pants with a farmers shirt lol On the female side there arn't alot of "shirts" for females so I was thinking of tinkering around with making some out of existing stuff or should all the chicks wear dresses? well, you can take male shirts and shape them to fit the female body
Well I definitely want shirts for females as well! x3 It makes a nice separation between the upper and lower class too...
Why stop there Josie, fancy females and common folk females both need shirts if they so decide! lol So I made some tops out of dresses:
They'll need some adjusting and a retex but those are the female shirts for right now.
WIP fancy robe:
wow that is nice, keep it up dude :)
Thanks man :) I enjoy mixing and matching and coming up with ideas. Much better then conversions lol
yeah, and the quality is much better :) i hope i can get a team of texture artists working on this :)
I would love to help but I am working on weapons right now.
Looks really good, but maybe you should change the dark brotherhood symbol to an Oblivion symbol or something.
Obviously the black hand is going to be removed, and the whole outfit will be textured so that the pieces look nice together, correct?

Nope, were gunna leave them all funky textured so everyone in the game looks dumb... come on guys lol..
But thanks for that pic of all the outfits, its cool for ideas, and a morrowind "feel" to what people could wear.
WIP fancy robe #2:
WIP fancy robe 3:
@Andynev1: I like your taste. I'd be ecstatic to see things based on Lelek1980's work in Skywind!
@khar`lor:

@eloth
Awesome! Cant wait to see some cool stuff :) Any help you could get as far as textures the better. There's more then enough to go around lol

WIP fancy robe 5:
All the hottest fall fashions!

Yeah, really, really looks great Khar!
Well done! :D
Ausgezeichnet! Gut gemacht! :D
Thanks guys! Soon the people of Skywind will be dressed to impress lol
Two quick ones, fancy robe 6 & 7:
Time to make the male robes :)
You made them better than I could even imagined myself, great work!
Thanks! They turned out cool, a few need a little adjusting but thats the basic sets anyway.
..and for all the fashion forward fellas.. here is the male fancy robe set:
ahem.. check out the belt buckle...
Man, I'm loving your work so much, I can't wait to see them in game? Will they be in v0.7.5?

Put every single one in game it'll look awesome and people that know about Dunmer culture will appreciate them!
