UPDATE September 22: The Iron Tanto
Here is a better look at the Tanto
I realize it doesn't have the dragon on the bottom but considering that its iron I will save that for the steel version.

Update:
The Iron Claymore:
Iron Claymore (View in 3D)

Looking really good, I saw it on that P3D site and it looks amazing, add some colour curves/tint to those textures and call it a masterpiece!
UPDATE: Link added.
nice iron longsword :) looking forward to see more weapons :)
That looks great! I was trying to do some iron weapons, but have been working on my basic modeling skills before coming back to them. A few of my models have turned out decently, send me a PM with your email if you would like me to send you what I've currently done. I've gotten as far as my skills will currently allow, and would be happy to have someone take it from where I've left off.
That's not a very sharp sword, is it?
blunt sword :)

I can't remember how the blade looked in Morrowind, but in general it is too thick ;-) Otherwise real nice work (I like the 3D view)
Thanks guys. I realize it doesn't look sharp blame bethesda for bad design.
If you want any tips I'm glad to help mycorn.
I think it looks great other than being a little too think like someone already mentioned. The thickness makes it look more like wooden toy sword you know. :P But that should be easy to fix, right? D:
i dont know what everyone is saying, the sword looks great, amazing work GGC, i personally think having variation on how wide swords are is nice, like if u look at morrowind, some swords do more thrust damage rather than chop, so this sword fits into that category
tbh, I was not criticizing the sword :)
Thanks guys! Your support really helps. I actually fixed the blade I am just deciding whether its worth the time to redo the texture.
, maybe just some minor stuff ggc, create normal maps that have lines, and cracks, i tihnk that would be neat. but im happy with the sword.
Don't redo the textures just tint the one on the handle to make it every so slightly browner, you have photoshop, right? Otherwise I could do it. Where do you find the sword in the game once you install it?
@LASentry: Thanks for the support. After you install the meshes and textures you need to download and enable my weapon fix plugin for the iron longsword which is in my first post. When you have the fix installed the mesh should appear correct and you can get the iron longsword anywhere it exists in the world. It is in the appropriate level lists and barter containers.
Awesome models man, they look really professional!
New Screens!
UPDATE: Preview of Longbow
Let me know what you think. :)
Dude those are great, I love having actual good looking models in the game. Keep it up!
@LASentry Thanks man. It's nice to see my work appreciated. Eventually I hope to have all the weapons done but thats in the future.
My plan is to work my way up based on each weapons sets stats.
So when all the iron weapons are done I will move on to the next set.
Which I believe would be chitin. I'm doing this way in order to ensure that nothing is missed and so that nobody says wait a minute no one made an chitin dagger mesh. Now we have to go back and make one.
Great idea, it's good to get work done block by block so nothing's missed
Oh man I'm loving everything I see here. Especially the Longbow!
Also the p3d.in links are way too cool.
@Favee Thank you very much. I love p3d I pefer it over screenshots. It allows everyone to see what it looks like quickly. Thanks for the support guys your what keeps us going. :)
New weapon up for preview.
The Iron Battleaxe see first post for preview.
Inspired by thegreatgamecreator2's awesome work, I tried to make something on m own. Unfortunately my 3d skilll (and texturing skills) are puny so I'm guessing the model isn't even close to what we want in final stage.
http://p3d.in/CNryI
Well - anyway If any of you guys have some suggestions or maybe there is need for some much simpler models you think I might be able to make, let me know :)
Thanks tommythegun. :)
It looks good.
If you need help feel free to ask.
The way you get better is by practicing and making more models.
I can show you some things if you want.
When making the texture make sure to use 2048x2048 texture maps.
If you think weapons are to difficult you could try your hand at making clutter items.
Remember always start from a high res map than scale down if you need to.
You can scale down detail but you can't scale it up.
Don't be discouraged.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Everybody's work is important here.
It looks quite cumbersome and clunky, and not very sharp, but you do have some good skill so keep working hard ;)
@thegreatgamecreator2 - thank you very much - I already have few questions in mind. I'll bother you a bit when I finally get home from work and have some spare time (which might not be today, monday is a great day for visiting pubs :p )
@LASentry I wonder if you mean the general idea for the sword or just matter of tuning details? I'm totally aware that this model needs much and more improvement (and probably should be redone in better quality) and the same goes to texture. But other than really poor quality of my work, I believe its pretty close to the ebony shortsword (broadsword? you know Sword of White Woe model) as I remember it. I ask because I wonder if my next approach should be about making better version, or changing the whole idea.
You should try to make them look like the guy who started this thread, that kind of style.
UPDATE August 19
New preview up!
Looking great man, not sure about the textures though but I expect they're just temps :)
For future reference don't judge the way it looks by the snapshot, go to the link and view it in 3d.
Simply gorgeous :)
@Zilav Thank you very much! Its great to see my work appreciated. :)
UPDATE New ingame screens.
All right. But can you take screenshots in high resolution?
Nice they look great in game! How long does it take to make just one weapon?
Looking good! =D
@Edgar_Shten I would if I could the settings I am using are the ones that I need to be able to run skywind without crashing.
when I package and release em I would be happy to post other peoples high res shots if the want.
@Lasentry I have never really timed myself but 6 or more hours give or take. It always depends on the model. The baking process takes up quite a bit of my time because I can't use my computer for anything else really while its baking.(These aren't concrete numbers just a guess, my sense of time can be skewed sometimes.)
The iron war axe had to be rebaked after the first try because of an out of bounds uv.
@Ice Thanks!
Update August 27
Iron spear added.
Check first post for preview.
Nothing new was added to 0.8.1 since you provided previews but no actual downloads.
Spear looks great :)
actually I did provide downloads to digital paranoid he said they were merged.
I gave them to Zilav normally who packages the assets (well not the spears I guess). If it was missed, it will be in the next update :)
UPDATE August 31:
The iron fork aka Fork of Horripilation and the Iron Dagger.
Very nice, you're an extremely talented modeler... I can't wait to see these in game.
the fork has slightly too many polies, but otherwise great.
the dagger has a good look, but the edge wearing at that level should be modelled in, and added specular, else it looks like oil stains.
You are making a very nice set of weapons.
@Ravanna I don't think the fork has to many polys.
Its only 1,032 tris. This weapon only appears once in the game its a unique item.
I'll see what I can do on the dagger but I'm not going to make changes to past models until pretty much all of the set are done. Its not because I am against constructive criticism I just don't want to be in the position of taking one step forward and two steps back.
I love hearing from you guys and really appreciate your comments.
I like everything, especially compared to the original design of weapons/armors in Skyrim. I can swear that a guy who did some of them is anime lover.
