Guaranteed CTD locations so far

Submitted by Crystalfeather02 on

Thank you for the great work, I have played a mostly bug free game since your update this month. Love it! I have encountered a few guarenteed ctd areas that I would like to report.

1. Pelagia - Halfway Tavern - just entering causes crash every time

2. Pelagia - Fort -corkscrew stairs to immediate right crash every time when going up, plus going around looking at things causes random crash eventually

3. Hlormaren, Lower and Upper levels, entering either causes crash

4. On World Map - most of Ald'Ruhn, sometimes just fast traveling or walking past the village into the Fortress itself, is a guaranteed crash.

Thank you for all the hard work and a great mod. I can't wait for the Beta!

Thanks for the report, I found the causes of number 1,2, and 3. Sadly I have no idea what's wrong with Ald'ruhn, it has been quite a puzzle for a while. I think it has something to do with the distance LOD.

I tried using tmm 1 to fast travel into Ald'Ruhn since walking in was not working and it let me go into the town, manor district and the nearby fortress. I had 20 minutes of exploring the area. I found a consistent ctd after several tries like this when I leave the fort on the path heading out and as it curves towards the town, ctd every time just after the sign post. Maybe this helps in tracking the problem?

Thanks for working so hard to track this stuff down.

It seems there's also a collision problem in Pelagia's Halfway Tavern. My char. can get in the door but can't move to the right. If she tries to go left, around the first table, it's an instant CTD; but after reloading the Autosave she was able to do a u-turn & leave.

Yup, we already knew about that, and it was already fixed.

Try these, ignore the .esps. If you wanna know where to put them, just go to your mesh folder, and search for the nif's name with a star behind it, and replace it. I'm sure most of you know that already, but just in case.
