Morrowind adventuring on LSD

Submitted by misterfoz on

Finally got the sucker to work (Morroblivion), and it's excellent. Damn fine job.

One thing that's a bit odd: near-distance landscape is fine, but far distant landscape suddenly becomes a shimmering mass of bright colours, kinda like the sun on an oil slick, or a drunken brawl between a load of rainbows... Very 'trippy'.

Anyone know what that sucker's all about?

Change Video Settings to HIGH Resolution For Morroblivion, What was the Problem, should have posted it under other post it a double

sadly that only fixed the picture in so far as it made the game crash inside 60 seconds every time so I couldn't see it...

What are your computer specs?

Currently, Morroblivion requires 'Large' texture size in setting, because of the way some textures are saved - otherwise you'll see rainbow colors.

The specs are it's a 6 core AMD processor (though I read that doesn't help as Oblivion doesn't support multi core), with a GTX 660 video card and (I think) 4 gig of Ram.Might be 8. Not very good with the technical stuff.

The rainbow colours for distant scenery is exactly the issue. You say just change texture size?

You say just change texture size?

Yes. This won't be needed anymore when v060 is released, but that's still a long way to go.

Hey, I'm not complaining. Morrowind was an outstanding game that's a bit too dated to play now (I tried), and you guys are doing an outstanding job bringing it back to life.
