Check out this thread: Uniformity Mods for Morrowind

Might make for some interesting development prospects...

I think this is a fantastic idea and a lot of these could be implemented as simple resize/retextured versions of creatures that already exist. Wandering Netch and Shalk farmers could be added as random encounters like the peddlers in Skyrim.

Yeah these would be cool, but we need some individuals to work on them because everyone else is doing other stuff.

You know, I'd love to see Electric Slaughterfish in Skywind :D

Hmmm...

I've been wanting to help with the development of Skywind for some time, but the Concept Artist department is pretty swamped at the moment by the looks of it. Although, I'd love to help with something like this, if there'd be a need for original creatures:

may be some albino retexture and resize (smaller) for blind form will be good.
but electric fishes is usually more bulky and massive (cause powerfull electrical some-form-of-muscles usually voluminous).

"Slaughterfish are small but very aggressive, and the larger varieties, the blind slaughterfish and the electric slaughterfish are quite dangerous"

It mentions that the blind slaughterfish are bigger, and they will certainly have to have something going for them if they have the disadvantage of being blind but are somehow more dangerous than average slaughterfish. They're the kind of thing you might encounter deep in flooded ruins, so I was thinking, big, slimy, pale and fleshy, with a huge maw of teeth.

If you think the electric slaughterfish isn't quite right because it looks unlike real world fishes, I can change it, although Morrowind never exactly tried to reflect reality. I based it off the electric eel more than the electric ray.

Do you think anybody will try to make custom models of any of these things, even if they're still just tweaks? Id love to come up against a Dreugh-Man-of-War. Or will they just be retextures of the current crocodile-like model of slaughterfish?

Blind sounds like a cave monster to me, doesn't add up to its size though, cave animals tend to be smaller. Unless Morrowind provides big underwater caves (which it does I think). Anything blind lives in total darkness, so it's either cave, or deep sea creature.

I'd think they'd be smaller rather than larger too yeah, but the in-game lore explicitly states they're a bigger variety.

I certainly remember a few flooded caves in Morrowind, places that'd be terrifying if they were pitch-black :) I always like those sort of places, they introduce an aspect of level design that's a little less linear.

Or I think I remember a ruin/shrine sunk underwater off the coast? Lots of possibilities for scares

I understand after cruising around the forums (and very much enjoying the work I see here) for a while that something like this is quite unlikely to happen unless someone specifically undertakes the task as it isn't nearly as important as the base game, but I still enjoy discussing the possibilities even with these slim chances. Variety in creatures and content really helps make a game for me.

Doesn't seem like theres a lot I can do, only having experience in concept art, one of the few sides of the project that seems to have an excess of people.

I would love see this type of cut content put into the game, like maybe the axe of the queen of bats i think it was called, could be put into the game with a quest too etc.

Oh look, another "more ideas, no work" thread.

Hey SquallyDaBeans, as I said- I think we all realize that this is very unlikely to make it into the game at this point as it is not  necessary in the slightest, just enjoying discussing it for now.

It's not a request for more content as far as I understand it, but rather an acknowledgement that there is more there if we wanted to undertake it in the future, an aspect I would be more than happy to contribute to, if by some brilliant stroke of luck we wanted to undertake more after its eventual release :)

Just a chat about content, nothing more

Hello!  It's my first post on this Forum, so I hope I am not committing some mistake or infringing some rule I wouldn't yet be aware of.

I thought the following would be worth mentioning in this thread :

Some quests were envisioned by the Devs but did not make it to the final game :

http://uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Unfinished_Quests

Some artifacts were also not included in the game, though they're present in the construction set:

http://uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Wings_of_the_Queen_of_Bats

The following unique items were also in the Construction Set, but not present in-game : Mandas Family Locket, Fenrick's Doorjam Ring, Recall Ring, Tsiya's Ring, Robe of Burdens, Robe of Trials, Weeping Robe, Anora's Club, Clutterbane, Herder's Crook, Staff of Llevule, BM_hunter_battleaxe_unique.

(I am of course not sure the list is exhaustive.)

Also, this text mentions interesting facts that didn't make it to the game : the presence of Skylamps (I guess it's a species related to the Netch - there's an illustration of it in "The Art of Morrowind", they seem to have only three tentacles), and Malahk-orcs, and other stuff that seems interesting but did not make it to the final game : http://uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Interview_with_a_Dark_Elf

Previous or in-game lore also mentions Dreugh Castles of Glass and Coral, Clockwork Dreughs built by Sotha Sil, Weresharks, ...

And finally, there are some things in the book "The Art Of Morrowind" that didn't make it to the final game : Ascended Sleepers using their trunk-like appendages to produce magical music, Dres House presence, Hovering Telvanni Wizards, Bonelords able to use four weapons simultaneously, Sloads, and so on...

And we also can consider some of the additions made by Oblivion, Skyrim and TESO to the lore of Morrowind?

Clutterbane actually was in the game in so much as it was in a location and you could pick it up. That place just happened to be a test cell and it was meant to be a joke. :P

A lot of these ideas have been tossed around, some of them will be addressed in Skywind's release (the Axe of the Queen of Bats will be included in a special tweaked quest), and of course others could be added with mods.
