Its probably because the Cuirass and Greaves are not of the same type (different material styles) and hence don't fit together ... it sometimes happens with armors\clothing from mods.
The easiest fix would be to go in the CS and change the NPC's armor to make it a matching set.
A more advanced fix would require editing the model's vertices in blender\3ds max ... or perhaps a little copy\pasting in nifscope.
