'Unique' Enchanted Clothing Fix

Submitted by Didact1 on
Ok, this is the fix for 'unique' clothes which lost their enchantments during the conversion... All I did was find the associated enchantments and linked them back with their clothing thats all I've done so far. LINK: http://www.mediafire.com/?j7xa0sa97jk5dc1 Now I'm going to go through each of these unique clothing and perhaps try to balance it out if necessary...

I've found a mod which has the 'The Moon-and-Star' !!! Its a completely new mesh/texture model and would look great with Morroblivion! Here's the link: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22885 In the 'images' category there are two images of the ring, what do you guys think? If you want I'll try get permission off the author to use it and perhaps imput it into the 'clothing fix' mod I've re-started working on (because my previous works were for older versions of the esp and another esp was 'corrupted' - kept crashing)

Very nice. thank you for this

Most of morrowind's unique amulets and rings have complete meshes ... with a little tinkering it should be possible to adapt them to show up properly when worn in oblivion.

Thank You! Next on the list would be: Madstone of the Ahemmusa Teeth of the Urshilaku Thong of Zainab The Seizing of the Erabenimsun Plus the "belts" I have made placeholders for: Malipu-Ataman's Belt Belt of the Hortator Embroidered belt

Here is a basic belt. Hopefully, I can eventually retexture it, but as of now this would be a good placeholder. http://www.mediafire.com/?tjotbks99woia51

I just received permission from Palpenious to include Moon-And-Star, along with his other Morrowind jewelry, in the main project file. It will be in the support files for the next release. Thank you Didact! And thank you for the enchanted clothing And Thank You HelpfulPerson for the Belt! I am targeting v015, which has lots of bug fixes and new things, including your clothing, Didact, plus Eloth's new creatures, plus the Akulakhan from HelpfulPerson. And, of course, my made-over Dagoth Ur.

No Problem Ok some enchantments obviously may need to change however, one robe has a 'cast on target paralysis spell', normally in Morrowind cast on spells enchanted on clothing means that by equipping that clothing, you can use the cast spell embedded on that clothing as long as you're wearing it... In Oblivion its different, when you equip this robe, a spell will automatically be cast in the direction you're facing as soon as you equip it... Which is all it can do, by re-equipping it and unequipping you'll keep shooting the paralysis spell.... That may need to change but it depends really.... The robe is called 'Adusamsi's_robe' I'll continue to look through each of the enchantments on the unique items and correct any necessary issues...

This has been a stumbling block to Moroblivion since the very first. You cannot replicate Morrowind Clothing, and even some Weapon Enchantments in Oblivion; they just do not work the same. If you wanted to go crazy you could script this to AddSpell when equipped, and to RemoveSpell when un-equipped. That's about the best we can do. Not perfect, but kinda-sorta what it generally did in Morrowind.

hmmm, scripting isn't really my strength and I dont know how to write my own scripts BUT I can get parts of scripts that would do the job I need, mess around with them and get them to work so I do have minor experiences in this area.... I remember making an 'AddSpell' on equip for a past patch for Morroblivion, v12 I think, because Keening has enchantments that when equipped you get constant effect goodies like in Morrowind, since this wasn't possible in Oblivion I decided to make a script for it and in the end sort of worked but the 'abilities' didn't go away when I unequipped the blade and so I was stuck with its god like powers, haha.... Anyway eventually it just crashes

Ring of Phynaster, Warlock's Ring, Ring of Surroundings, Mentor's Ring I have meshes/textures for these rings that I downloaded earlier however I can't upload them because I don't have the author's permission and i cant seem to locate the mod anymore.... Here are some screenshots: If you recognise them please let me know so that I can upload them! http://www.mediafire.com/?ja254j57mp6karv http://www.mediafire.com/?x379420lfl0lrbi http://www.mediafire.com/?i9onhzp4l7g51cj Sorry, I didn't package them into a rar format... I'll make sure to do that next time I upload images/files...

They are all from Morrowind Jewelry by Palpenious. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24748 He gave me permission to use all of them. They will be included in v015. I've suggested he whip us up a new Wraithguard if he's looking for something to do...
