I think he means he wants to translate the dialog to german.
yes thats right.
I have now a txt with the german text from the dialog, but how can i this import to the skywind.esm?
Can this be done using the /Strings directory? I've never tried to open the skyrim_english.dlstrings file to see how it is organized. Will that help you get started?
It can, but only when dialogs/quests are finished or it'll turn into a big hassle.
OK how it can??? I will give it a try :=)
So, what I got is the following steps to follow:
1/ Generate the files, update the master with TES5Edit
http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1436171-why-is-nobody-using-multilingual-esp-files/#entry22071684
2/ Use one of the tools below to provide the german version
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28365/?
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29148/?
That said:
- The Skywind master is not "prepared" to handle other versions. My testing of step #1 in tes5edit shows that the master is modified so we would need to provide a master ready for that (next release ?)
- I understand there are some kind of keys to reference each string.. What happens if new strings are added or some are updated in a future version ?
- With regards to importing existing morrowind dialogue export, I don't think it's possible automatically. Indeed in morrowind, there was virtually no limit of text per "topicInfo". In Skyrim, there is a limit per dialogue line so on morrowind answer can be composed of 2-3 dialogue lines in skywind.
Please jump in if you know more on this specific topic.
That is the hassle I told about. If you generate strings for master file now, every time master is updated new strings files must be created, then using one of the 3rd party tools and their vocabulary previously translated strings must be reapplied.

I'm not sure I understand.
I'm not sure I understand. Aren't the normal quests of Morrowind already in Skywind (no matter what the language)? Or are you saying you have other material to add to Skywind (from another mod maybe).
