Help wanted for porting Morrowind mods into Morroblivion

Submitted by crmiller197 on

Hello to anyone who is reading this Starting Today i will be looking for help on porting Morrowinds Tamriel Rebuilt mod into Morroblivion i have great amounts of experience in modding but this conversion from 1 game to another is kinda new.

I will be accepting anyone who can prove themselves as trustworthy and honest plus with some experience in both games honestly i will take about 2-4 people at most just to keep things in good quality and be able to reach them quickly.

I would really love some help with this because it is a combination of my 2 favorite games and 2nd favorite mod for Morrowind (the Helluva Weapons and Armor is my 1st) we could also try to port HELLUVA in Morroblivion if wanted by future group.

Thanks for reading also if you are really interested add me on skype its charles.miller197 thanks for read im looki ng forwward to seeing people read this:):):)

Tamriel Rebuilt is too big for ESPConverter to process - it just throws errors in the middle of conversion.

AFAIK, only Map 1 of TR can be successfully ported.

then i will have to find some other tool or continue working on mine until its finished

Ok if you're going to be really serious about this, would help if you state what skills you have, so that others wanting to help will know more about their esteemed leader :)

Do you have programming skills? What mods have you done for Morrowind and Obilvion?

I've done some mod conversion into Oblivion, and then into Skyrim, with some success and of course some failure. I ported some of the expansion and overhauls for Morrowind like Morrowind Rebirth and Balmora Expansion.

My suggestion is that if Tamriel Rebuilt is too big for ESPConverter then just look at porting sections at a time. Don't know what the worldspaces are like, but you can strip the plugin so that you do sections at a time.

Just do groups or even partial groups at a time, and then do cells and worldspace.

The thing I noticed with TR is that there are a lot of custom models, so you'll need to get familiar with model converting processes, as ESPConverter can be a bit flaky to do ALL the models. Lots of creatures as well, which will need individual attention.

Also talk to user "Mehh", he looked at converting TR at some point, and became a bit unglued, so he might be able to shed some more light on this.

This thread has the converter link : http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/general/2321

Its an exe, there is no source code, so unless you can find it out in the world wide web, or you de-compile it you wont be able to edit anything.

Out of historic curiosity, who created the convertor?

It was Galadrielle.

You can find some more info in our Morroblivion History thread.

We cannot split up the sections and convert them over. qwerty said it was impossible to do so.

Even if we were to convert over the maps, what will be done to upgrade to a new map release? If a converter did all that, then that would be just great.
