Sounds, Voiced Dialogue and Music
The music composition in Morrowind was an absolute masterpiece, the music used and composed by Jeremy really gave that 'destiny', 'adventure' and 'surreal' feel to the game and part of what made the game so great (and still is... just saying) is the music.... Should the music from the game be avaliable for Morroblivion? The music can be found somewhere on the net, torrents, music sites and etc or if it is possible (I doubt it) I can upload the soundtracks of the game... ALSO, the voiced dialogue such as 'Dagoth Ur' are voice files played using scripts and such, should these voiced dialogue and others be included? Again IF possible but doubtful, I can upload these voices up... I understand that it probably wont be possible but it's just a suggestion

Music
Eloth sent me the Morrowind Music. I will post it sometime this weekend. I would agree that it is good, but definitely not a masterpiece. Music is largely a matter of taste. As far as Dagoth Ur's one line "Welcome Moon-And-Star..." if you upload that I will include it. I'm not wild about it because the voice does not go with the character, but I will include and script it if you will upload it.

that one line could be
that one line could be modified, if you pitch shift it down, to get a darker voice, it will suit better

Yes! Perfect!
The voice I heard in Didact's video just sounded like some Imperial. Who is going to do this for me?

Thank you for the file Eloth. This is much better than the original Morrowind voice.

Nice....
Haha well its a matter of personal taste I suppose (the music) The voice of Dagoth Ur is meant to be... I dont know how to explain: um, wise and profound, experienced? You know... a 'Smart' villain but it does sound like an imperial and the new voice still maintains that but makes the voice alot better ;) Great job.... Will the other voices be included? When the player goes through to the main chamber and including when the player (Nerevarine) hits the heart with Sunder and Keening? "WHAT a fool you are! I'm a god! HOW can you kill a god? What a grand and intoxicating innocence, how can you be so naive? There is no escape! No recall or intervention can work in this place! COME, lay down your weapons it is not too late for my mercy...." (SIDE NOTE: In Morrowind, Dagoth clearly says you CANNOT escape, I however could use Divine Intervention/Almsiv Intervention or Recall... I think it may be a glitch in my game but if not should this be addressed, so that you CANT escape until you defeat Dagoth Ur? "What are you doing??" "WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" "FOOL!!" "STOP!!"

A Little at a Time
I suspect that I will come back to this a few times, like maybe when somebody fixes the animation so the god falls apart. I personally do not think "wise" or "profound" could be used to describe to a half-naked wizened old man with a mask. He has clearly been affected and corrupted by the heart and his deeds. His voice should relfect that. The new voice is much better. For me to use them, the other dialog would need to be converted like the opening line. What I plan on doing this time around is script the two fights; currently there is only one. I will add the one line of dialog and force the player into initial conversation with Dagoth Ur. And, I will try to do something with Azura. I'll probably give her the ghost effect because there is no way I can create a real NPC suitable. Maybe somebody with some NPC-making talent could help me out there. Is the text of her speech written down anywhere? Or do I have to listen & write it down myself from the video? There is no easy way to make it impossible to escape. For that, EVERY scripted exit device, like scrolls, etc., would have to be updated to specifically prevent functioning in this room. Certainly doable, but somebody would need to do it. I personally feel time would be better spent on other things. but if somebody wanted to make the effort, it could probably be done.

I understand, oh and I
I understand, oh and I wasn't really thinking about his physical side haha... Oh and about the 'escape' it was only a mere suggestion ;) And also about Azura's dialogue in the video, theres actually an 'audio recording' of this, Data Files/Sound/Vo/Misc/AzuraEndGame Also in the 'Misc' folder you'll find ALL of Dagoth Ur's voice files INCLUDING those not used in the game, well but you're doing a 'written' dialogue so here it is: "You no longer bear the burden of prophecy... You have achieved your destiny, you are free, the doom Dwemers folly, Lord Dagoth's Temptations, the Tribunal seduction, the gods' heart freed, the prophecy fufiiled, all fate sealed and sins redeemed, if you have pity, mourn the loss but let the weeping cease, the blight is gone and the sun's golden honey guilds the land, hail saviour! Hortator and Nerevarine, your people look to you for protection, monsters and villains great and small still threatin the people of Vvardenfell, enemies and evils abound yet indominable might rid Morrowind of all its ills, for you our thanks and blessing, our gift and token given, come.... Take this thing from the hands of god" Azura fades and 'Azura's Ring' can be seen floating in mid-air

Great Voice!
Thank you Didact! I recognize that voice; who is the Actress? I will try to use this, but I've never done voiced dialog before. Unfortunately, this is way too much dialog for Oblivion to handle, so only the first screenfull of characters will display, then the recording will go on an on. If somebody could splice this into smaller chunks I could try to make her speech follow Oblivon's way of dialog. In the meantime, thank you for the text; I will put that in first, then see if I can get the voice thing to work later...

@Didact1: I think it was
@Didact1: I think it was meant to be possible to escape with an intervention or recall spell ... Infact vivec told me to do just that incase things went bad: One last note. Dagoth Ur must not get hold of Wraithguard. The Nerevaine must prepare and use a Recall or Almsivi Intervention if there is any risk of death or capture.

haha...
Dagoth Ur: "No Recall or Intervention can work in this place!" Nerevarine's Thoughts: There goes my plan... lol.. Azura's Dialogue (My Cut down Version) "You no longer bear the burden of prophecy... You have achieved your destiny, you are free, the doomed Dwemers' folly, Lord Dagoth's Temptations, the Tribunal seduction, the gods' heart freed, all fate sealed and sins redeemed, if you have pity, mourn the loss but let the weeping cease, the blight is gone and the sun's golden honey guilds the land, hail saviour! Your people look to you for protection, monsters and villains still threatin the people of Vvardenfell, enemies and evils abound, yet indominable might rid Morrowind of all its ills, for you our thanks and blessing, come.... Take this thing from the hands of god" A little shorter and some minor grammer errors, not that much shorter, I don't know what else to cut out... I've cutted out lines which seem repetitive... She mentions that the prophecy had been fufiiled twice but both differently worded and I've shortened the end bit... What else could there be to cut out? IF needed? Also this nothing related to this thread but check this out: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5522 Do you think this could be used with Vivec? Just an idea...

Not in Oblivion...
No, Didact, not for Oblivon. Oblivion needs Really small chunks to display the text on screen: "You no longer bear the burden of prophecy... You have achieved your destiny, you are free, the doomed Dwemers' folly, Lord Dagoth's Temptations, the" ...is the most dialog that can fit on one "line" in Oblivion. The voice can go longer, but there will be no text to go with it. Blood & Mud does that with long speeches. I don't like it; I prefer to be able to read and hear at the same time. Oters would have different preferences, I suppose.

Dialogue
Hmm True.... I was thinking of dividing them into single lines but that would cut the 'voice file'. Yes I think your earlier suggestion works... But should Azura's mouth move at all or should it stay 'closed'? This wouldn't matter since she is after all a deadra lord.

Maybe... If You Want Him to Float Standing Up
This might work with some hacking, but Vivic would be standing up. Eloth claims that Humanoid Creatures can have dialog, but I haven't tried it yet. If he is right, and I can get Yagrum to work and say his lines like he's supposed to, then maybe if Eloth converts Vivic as a creature from Morrowind I can get him to sit cross-legged like he's supposed to be.

Original Vivec is on my
Original Vivec is on my to-do list for next week (unless eloth beats me to it:p). Floating cross legged has some issues {mainly that unlike morrowind, in oblivion we can't limit the loop to a certain part only ... and so he is bound to keep breaking the meditation} ... but maybe it can be done with some scripts.

Need WAV File
I was planning on making the "Welcome Moon-And-Star" a Sound rather than tying it to Dialog. That way I can play it as the player approaches, rather than waiting until conversation starts, and then making a custom greeting. I think that would be much cleaner and more like the video. For that I need a WAV file, not mp3. $%#^&% CS! Can somebody convert this .mp3 file to a .wav file? I don't have any audio software at all.

Thank you Didact. This is the original. Could you by chance convert the one that Eloth modified? I really don't like this guy's voice for being a whithered, corrupted demigod of darkness. It just doesn't go at all.

Thank You Didact! I'm sorry to have troubled you to do this twice. This will be in the next release. Now, if I could get the rest of the dialog altered to sound like this, and converted to WAV, then I'll play all the dialog at various points during the battle.

Is more needed?
If you want I can convert all of Dagoth Ur's voice files into .wav and upload them, I can do that no problem, is there anything else other than Dagoth Ur's voice files? I could convert ALL of the voice files in Morrowind IF you want

Dagoth Ur
That would be great. Dagoth Ur's dialog needs to be WAV files, and needs to sound evil, not like some college professor. Azura's dialog needs to be spliced into bite-sized mp3 files. I don't know about the rest. What else is there? But, if the dialog is supposed to play without the player engaging in conversation, then it needs to be WAV. If it is true dialog, then mp3. I think dialog CAN be .wav, but mp3 is much better and smaller.

Didact, that really is a
Didact, that really is a good idea.i converted alot of the voice files in morrowind of the beginning start of the game in the prison ship with jiub and the guards, all the way through the character creation dialogue.(if i remember correctly) i also used an earlier version of the oblivion cs that supported lyp synch files.i did those too. Though, when i did this i altered some of the dialogue words and little things like typos to go along with the voice file and lyp synch. i used David's dialogue template for this,i played with it in game too it worked but i saw that someone already did exactly what i worked hard to do.so i didnt bother telling anyone.

Dialog Template
The Dialog Template I supplied for v003 was designed to be used with v003 only. It has long since become obsolete and incompatible. And, I have learned a bit more about how to merge things, so did not continue to update it. What are you referring to where somebody else did voice files? Nothing like that exists to my knowledge. If you've done something like that it would be great!

I had just finished running
I had just finished running off the boat a few times to check if the files worked properly and when i visited this site again i read a post where someone, for their personal gameplay preference, did the same thing and offered to upload it as a seperate mod. i guess it never made it on the board. I also changed the new game intro video from the oblivion one where the king is speaking to the old morrowind video so that the video plays when you click on new game and after that you are on the ship and Jiub starts speaking. i took out those new game messages also as the messages were just a way to do what the video did, introduce the story. a while back i asked you about this and you said it had some copyright issues so we couldnt use it in our mod but to my understanding, please correct me if im wrong, all use of morrowind assets are more or less use of morrowind assets.and the video is a morrowind asset so in essence,it should be no different. by the way,the only way i could change it (that i know of) was through the oblivion.ini file. one more thing i did if you're interested.. i changed the oblivion title menu to the morrowind one.well, i put it in video editing software and scaled it to fit on the vanilla oblivion title menu so that it has a morrowind feel with a touch of oblivion design.no big deal,if you want it i'll find out how to upload something and you can see for yourself and decide whether or not ya wanna use it. one thing i couldnt figure out how to do though is get rid of the actual oblivion title thats in a stone like print.if you put the video into place as the main menu replacement you will see what i mean,i know this can be fixed however because there is a mod called DUNE or something that does exactly what i did except they got it to work correctly, maybe you could contact them,or anyone, and ask.

Also Regarding...
Also, there are actually Vivec and Yagrum Bagarn voice files however they sound really lame.... Vivec just sounds... 'stupid'? He's got a very DEEP voice and Yagrum Bagarn has a high pitched and 'light' voice... There are also deadra lords' voices, in Morrowind, by activating a unique statue of a daedra lord their voice files are played and after that, a journal entry is updated....

Send Me What You've Got
I'm not totally sure I followed all that. Yoshimo had put together instructions for replacing the Oblivion inro video with the Morrowind one. I had forgotten about that. I'll dig that up and include them in the next version of my installation instructions. What you've done with the interface sounds intriguing for some. Most people here would rather everything feel like Morrowind. I will make your mod available on my thread if you like. Or, you could just post it on your own thread as your own mod.

Audio Wiz
There has to be somebody around here that can make them sound good. If they're anything like the Dagoth Ur voice, I would completely agree with your assessment of being lame. So, can somebody doctor these up and send them to me so I can include them?

Challenge? I accept
Remember these voice files were never used in the final release but were included anyway but I'm looking at them at the moment along with Dagoth Ur's voices, I'll see what I can do with 'Audacity' and upload what I've got later on I won't convert the 'greeting' voices of NPCs because it will sound very strange if a Dark Elf greets you and then when you talk to him (in his Oblivion elf voice), "Well Met!"

You mean you don't want one NPC to speak to you in three different voices like they do in Oblivion? I tend to agree. This will be great! Thank you!

well David, i wouldnt call
well David, i wouldnt call what i've done a mod. just because that seems like a little bit too much credit, its just an edited video file and replaced with main menu sequence.but,if you tell me what to do i can put the voice files that i have and the video that i edited for the main menu.but what about the morrowind intro video, should i post that? and,i dont care where this link is and i dont care much if i have my own thread or not. i just want to see this beautiful hard work yall have put together complete. and since i have some files, even though not much, i'd gladly post them for yall to use.i just dont have an account to an upload site that yall use.what do yall use, mediafire?i tend to just click the download links, not much look at the address ;) Didact, in the morrowind folder as im sure you know, there are voice files for the greetings for every race in morrowind such as dark elf, imperial, etc. so,if you were talking about converting these greeting files and David has morrowind greetings so that they are different from oblivion dialogue, wouldnt you not hear those lame oblivion dark elves anyway?

OK, Post It
Zip or RAR all your stuff together and post it to www.MediaFire.com. Not the Intro Video; everybody has that. I have the directions from Yoshimo on how to switch. In answer to your question about greetings, the Morrowind greeting would play when the game uses a Morrowind greeting, which is not all the time. The game is, after all, Oblivion, and a lot of Oblivion dialog leaks through. So, sometimes you would get the voice files that go with Morrowind greetings, and the rest of the time you would get Oblivion voices, like Didact's example, "Well met."

ok i uploaded the files to
thank you for answering my question David, its clearer now. ok i uploaded the files to mediafire. the voice files are in a subfolder called morrowind_ob.esm. it has the lip files too.however,as i studied these files i dont think i really backed up what i thought i did. because the files were supposed to be all numbers,i think.so im thinking maybe ya cant just place them in their respective folder that the voice files are in(should be either music/voice/morrowind.ob or voice/morrowind.ob or something like that. the thing is i had all these files and then i reinstalled oblivion because it was a mess.in the files i uploaded i cannot find jiub.i dont know how much help this will be guys,im sorry.its been sittin on my desk top for when i next installed oblivion i would just put them in the folder since i already did the work in the cs.looks like all that work was undone. to make light of it,the main menu should still be good. once again,im sorry if it wasnt much help guys. here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?n7degk2fs98cumj

Are these the ones?
So are these the voice files from: Sound/Voices/Misc ... ? Off Morrowind? I'll need to know otherwise I'll be wasting time in converting the format if they're already done, plus if these ARE the ones anc converted I can mess around with the voices and make them sound alot better, I presume they are because you mentioned you have 'lip files' with them too Anyway thanks for this

Not Following You
Sorry Didact, I'm not following you. I have no idea what any voice files are; that is not my thing at all. If you are referring to the ones RockNRoll Cowboy was doing; they are lost. All he was able to upload were text files, not voice files. If you're talking about the ones in Morrowind, I have no idea but from what I understand there are some basic files there we should be able to use--with some tweaking.

Yes Didact, they were mp3
Yes Didact, they were mp3 Morrowind voice files that is put in the dialogue in the cs. in the beginning of the Morrowind quest in the original game, Jiub says "Wake up..." the voice that you hear is the file i had and i converted them to .wav files in order to do the lip synch feature provided with a previous version of the oblivion cs. but, mp3 files are what the dialogue voice files use so i kept the mp3s and the .lip files of the same voice recording so that when you put them into the respective voice folder in the oblivion data folder, they automatically will be able to be heard in game when you hear Jiub say "Wake up...", for example. but the files i provided might not be named properly.for example,in the cs if you go to dialogue and click on the part that lets you edit the text or what the npc actually says you can look at the bottom to see what the filename would need to be named if there was a voice file.you copy that filename and rename the mp3s i uploaded and ,making sure the mp3s are in the folder specified by the dialogue option i just said, the voices will be there and working in mp3 format.the .lip files need to be in the same folder as the mp3s and named as the same name because the cs automatically checks and plays the .lip file if there is one, based on the name of the mp3 file. i know im not good at explaining and you probably already know this.. **Im sorry fellas, David was right the file i uploaded was text files i just downloaded my own file to find that out.i fixed this and to clear things up everything i said about the files not working, well they should work.just put them in the right folder.i think the file structure in the .rar file is the right one.** here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?gk0vq6th7b1k1wl
