[RELz] NixHounds

Submitted by Ravanna on

Well since we have 10x more visitors and complaining of little development of late, I'm posting what little I have since being so busy.

Its rigged to a modified wolf. The tongue bone was elongated to accommodate the ant eat proboscis. You heard me...

It looks really good man! but the face looks a bit off to me :/ the eyes are sooo tiny x D the morrowind nixhound had red eyes so maybe make m red and a big better,, this is not hating btw just general feedback, plus its my opinion so others might disagree

I think the eyes being so small makes it look better, personally, since the Nix Hound looks like an insectoid wolf anyway.

I really like that last shot. The texture reminds me a lot of a Zerg (which is not a bad thing at all!) XD

Thanks for showcasing this!

Finished the low poly
IMO i think the low poly looks better than the zbrush one.

Will do the green/grey one, then the diseased and blighted ones, THEN rig it to wolf.
Btw, i'm getting confused.
Corprus dieasee affects only humans right? the big growths etc.

But what is blight, and how does it affect the creature?

oh, 9050 tris, but will reduce down to 6k before rigging.

This one is perfect. Well done.

Well there it is, people. A disheartened Ravanna still kicks a lot of ass.

The fact that we have different textures for a diseased and blighted creature in two different color schemes is amazing in it's own right.

Thank you so much for doing this man! Can't wait to see it in game :)

But which set of animations will?

Hey guys im new here (fantastic work so far!) and had a question being a relatively new 3D modeler in regards to polygons. I was made aware through tutorials that modeling in quads was far easier to rig for animation and was just wondering why quads aren't used in this case? is that only used so as to import assets into the skyrim engine or something? Thanks! :)

quads are used here but they're very small and random.
Yes model in quads always, and only allow convert to tris after UVing/baking/skinning
