ok ok ok guys so i had this idea in the shower the other day when i was in the shower so i was thinking that a lore frendly way to make skywind and skyrim lorefriendy is to have the dohavking find a elder scroll and he can use it to make a portal and time travel to morrowind! whuda you gusy think about this idea? i think one of you guys should do this RIGHT away to make the game better and dont forget to give me credit for the idea. thanks, gj guys can't wait to play. Genius, except for the part about the shower. You don't get ideas in the shower, that's just ridiculous. Showers are for singing.
I know English might not be your first language, but you've misspelt "new" in the title post, it should be "knew".

Hey I've got this great idea
Hey I've got this great idea for how to make Skywind lore-friendly. You know the elder scrolls, well you could have one that sends you back in time, bam, perfect immersion. I'm a little surprised that nobody has thought about this yet, you guys must be a little stupid.
How about a time travel mod, where you can move backwards and forwards between eras, so that it doesn't break immersion between Skyrim and Skywind? Wow the game was unplayable before, but that would make it seamless.
What about a making a quest mod that allows you to time travel...wait....i feel stuck in a never ending loop of time traveling about time travel mods. Is this ironic?
heywhat about we change some
heywhat about we change some stuff and when you kill dagoth lava hibernates you and theres the TWIST! YOU ACTUALLY ARE A PRISONER WITH ULFRIC CAUSE HE UNHIBERNATED YOU TO USE YOu AS AN ALLY!?!?!

Should I actually make one of

Should I actually make one of these travel mods? This is in Dragonborn's worldspace, I was thinking I could add a time wound to the census docks that would take you to Skywind. It would stop all these suggestions and get something done instead of just talk. Also, we can see what remains of all the Morrowind cities and landmarks after the Red Year.

You know what iceflame if you do make it it might actually put a stop to it...well at least we can link a post to the mod.

I know that, but it was in response to the constant real suggestions of the same thing. If I were to make this as an optional mod, it would put a stop to these messages and add a somewhat lore friendly way to go between Skyrim and Morrowind.
Lore freaks will bitch even
Lore freaks will bitch even if we make Skywind stand alone. Fan boys will continue to defend faceless companies that wouldn't give a fuck if they died tomorrow. Femnazis will continue to complain about games not catering to their needs, and guys raping them in online gaming. TES Alliance will continue to hate us. News at 11.
I-
I- BLARGHHHGHAHAGSUSNUOIVNWHEUVC. Sorry, had to get that out - bloody lore bitches.
I think Skywind should go
I think Skywind should go standalone though, I don't think there will be a way to move conveniently from one to the other since a few things would be broken in each worldspace (like dragons turned into Cliff Racers for example, I mean, even more than they already were).
I don't really think it
I don't really think it matters, I mean seriously, you read an elder scroll, it gives you a quest, you walk through the gate near riften (maybe it has a glow effect or portal effect, idk) and you're there, the intro plays and someone tells you to find caius - sure, it's not that smooth but i don't really see a problem.
I was thinking about some
I was thinking about some mages/historians who would contact the dragonborn and send him back in time. Not to change the past, only to learn about the Nerevarine, and how Azura tricked him into destroying Morrowind.
if we al thinking stuf up i
if we al thinking stuf up i say i dont want a stupid qeust that wastes my time to explains something i know already
Too much effort. Just set the
Too much effort. Just set the gate at Riften to be able to walk straight through, like how you walk into a cave. Then the intro plays, skip char creation and done. Who the heck cares about small things like that, ya know?

Uhm, its dovahkin, and I don't think morrowind needs any assistance getting better lol
You need to get the Nexus
You need to get the Nexus audience and get them to completely forget about the time line shit. In order to get the Nexus audience, we need to make a Morrowind waifu mod, some Morrowind inspired skimpy outfits. We need Morrowind style school girl skirts!
Perhaps we can add some size d boobs to every female in Skywind, with our own boob bouncing engine. Having everyone naked is the nice start, but doesn't leave much illusion.
The patented
The patented "Skywind-Boob-Bounce-Skimpy-Outfit-Engine". Here is a conversion I made from a Morrowind outfit. Apologies for the unrealistic lighting, I've got some crappy settings.

yeah! We should just rig and convert all the morrowind models to skyrim and release it!
Btw its dovahkong, I've beaten Skyrim 3 times

That's skimpy? No, good sir! My character sometimes wears nothing less than a bikini and a smile. ;)

lol I like this new graphics thing. :)
I think Skywind should start
I think Skywind should start out just like skyrim. Your waiting in line for the chop block and you actually lay your head down. Then the axe swings and chop, your back on the boat in Morrowind ‘Wake up, we’re here. Why are you shaking? Are you ok? Wake up.’ says Jiub
The best thing to do is make
The best thing to do is make a standalone. Yeah maybe it could be cool some other ways but there are many things that could be easier done if it didn't matter about interfering with Skyrim. For example the new UI, the easiest way to implement the new look of it is to have a standalone so there arent any problems with it interfering with Skyrim. I'm sure there is much more too. It would make the conversion feel more like a remake instead of a mod if it had its own launcher too. Just seems like the way it should be done however maybe there are some problems with that. I think that if we are planning on making its own launcher eventually, it might be best to start that now so that way we dont have to worry about any Skyrim conflicts anymore, just my thoughts, all though maybe its not a big deal.
There's no need for some
There's no need for some complicated transition quest. It's not the point. Not right now.

You know, quite honestly, I agree with this guy. No need to make it a huge ass quest line just to go to Morrowind. Just slap a gate somewhere, maybe in the middle of a lake a la Shivering Isles, give the player a journal notification, go there and go through. Minimal scripting, and I think it would make plenty of people happy.
As for the people who want everyone to play this game the "right" way (No jumping world spaces), why not? That's just stupid to limit yourself to one worldspace when you have two (or more, for the people who have Dragonborn, Falskaar and Wyrmstooth, like me). There is no "right" way to enjoy a game. I agree that we should hold off on making a "lore-friendly" way to traverse between both provinces/times and save that until we're actually done with the main part of Skywind, but I still think that this should happen, and I'm willing to help someone who can make this happen as well.
If we do end up making a gate, I think going through the gate should be a little like this:
