Super noob

Hello! My name is Jeremy, I haven been inspired to in the least help with this outstanding project by seeing if I can voice act for it. That being said, Im super nooby with PCs and put shortly have no idea how I would go about recording my voice and sending it in for audition 0_0. Also I am not sure if I have the right type of mic or if I need to get anything else. To get to the point im trying to relay, I would very much appreciate it someone can link me maybe a step by step guy for dummies or message, something along those lines. Thank you and I apologies if I totally miss a page on here for a guide.
