Error -5003 0x20

I don't know what to do, i've finally managed to get my hands on an dvd-rom of oblivion and now when i want to install it i can't even get trough the setup! when i try to this message pops up: An error (-5003 : 0x20) has ocurred during setup. Please make sure you have any previous setups and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor:bethesda softworks Any one knows what causes this?I've closed everything but i can't find any usefull on the internet, only manages to find other 5000 errors. If somebody knows please tell me cause i want to be able to install and play morroblivion :)

Have you tried installing to somewere else? i.e instead of C:/program files/ blah blah blah. try My documents/games or something like that

i don't get far enough to decide where i want to install it, when i put in the disc it goes like 1 sec and then this error message pops up

hmmmm... Any big scratches or something like that in the disc?

Sounds like this is your issue:

In other words, the installshield program on you computer is older than the one used to install Oblivion.

Seems like a simple fix of updating your version to the latest.

This can be done by running the windows update service. This of course means you will need a legit copy of windows to be able to update it properly.

i do have a legit copy and i have updated all i can, but the damn box still pops up, any one got a clue what to do now? :)
