I thought about the general title of our projects (morroblivion, skywind, skyblivion). Team name of our site.

just for test :)

Love the animation but the sound needs changing :) Maybe that cliff racer noise that was used earlier?

The animation still needs to be a lot smoother but the style is good!

@mspeed: While I understand that the backdrop of your new logo draft is Tamriel, it also looks like a bear is in the process of throwing up. Please don't think of this as negative criticism, but the Tamriel map is just not a very good backdrop. There should be a better way to do this, maybe the old way, where we had a merging of the Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim logos?

In addition to Iniquity's Intro that we worked on are these:

Night - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA8YnsHSU6U

Wind - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kot57N6Yga0

These are a more simple version of the intro with different sound effects. I personally like the Night Theme the best but they are all good. I have been collaborating with Iniquity so you can suggest mix matches of the Intros and we will update you with the progress.

Make the map zoom out slowly and start with a fade in, do the expanding border thing but ease the animations by making the movements start out slow and get fast and then finish slow (Animate in a high framerate and speed it up, if necessary) and then for sound effects look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJt_CiJWxzY the fourth one is my favourite but the first, second and third are good too. You could also have two versions, one with the current style and the other with a black background and light logo/text.

I'll admit, this made me laugh. But even though it does indeed look like a bear throwing up, it's supposed to (somewhat) future-proof our team name I think. Just don't look at the logo too hard bro.

How do you guys feel about this idea? I think it might be good since it would be easy for people whom are unfamiliar with the project or what TES even stands for. Yet i think more people would recognize the oblivion gate, skyrim dragon, or the crescent moon more than the tamriel landmass or the stamp like logo. In addition, i think the fact that they are put together kind of sums up what we do and is an easy concept for newcomers to grasp. Tell me what you think. I'm open to all criticism.

Cheers :)

What about something like this?

[External image]

From grey "TES" with old font, to new font and fresh green with robbinsmoth's nice illustration. I think this kinda resembles the idea of the project. Of course its very rough atm because I dont assume that someone else wants this :p

Of course it would! We are professionals, dang it! Everyone knows professionals only work in grey!

Thanks for the suggestion, however this idea is a bit too specific and there is no real professional way to go about it. I feel as though it will look too messy and it wont represent what we do as a whole. We came up with a solution that most feel works the best which is the Tamriel concept and right now we are working on animations for videos, if you would like to help us out please leave thoughts on the videos you can find above.[External image]

PeterBitt

That is an interesting style for the logo. I think it may be a little too exotic though and it doesn't really represent all our projects as a whole. We have already come down to a design that we feel best represents our site that most people seem to like. However if there is a high enough demand for another logo, there is not a problem changing it, but I think we will stick to the Tamriel design for now. If you do wish to help out however, I would also advise you to check out the demo videos above for the animation as we need some feedback on that.[External image]

Also, a small update on the B&W idea that LASentry suggested:

This is the idea for a black and white animation for in game so let me know if it needs any changes. I might toy around with it a bit more, I feel there are too many borders[External image].

That looks really good, but I would agree about the borders, I feel as though it does not need the  white outer border around the tamriel map.

Actually they do - looking at grey, black, and white all day won't skew your perception of color.  This is widely practiced in photography, graphic design, and art.

Press F5.  I have "blued up" the "noon" theme.  You can also change your theme to the "midnight" theme in your profile settings now.

Also, is everyone on board with this "map" logo or what?  I need some consensus, not just the same two people telling me to hurry up and use it.  [External image]

Personally, I prefer the turnip logo because just about every other big TES project uses, or has used, a map logo in the past.

It's a radish, damn it!

Also - my opinion - grey layout looks best and i like this (radish) logo the best - also for the reason you just gave, thermador.

Fucking radish. I offered to change it, but nooooooooooooo.

I'm gonna fix it anyway i think. I dont know whats going on with the radish. It was supposed to be dagoth ur...

Oh come on robb - it looks really good, and i'm pretty sure we don't need or want it to change in anyway :p tis all fun, bro!

Radish logo. Same reason as thermador's.

mspeed101That is an interesting style for the logo. I think it may be a little too exotic though and it doesn't really represent all our projects as a whole.

I intended to change the painting to something that includes the symbols of all three games, it was just quick and easy to take the image from this thread. My logo is not very fitting and you already have one :)
I have one suggestion for your current logo tho, please give
the S in TES a bit more space from the E, I find the default font spacing isnt good in this case.

I personally like the Map. But I will go along with whatever is chosen.

I prefer the map as well but the radish logo is very nice looking & original as well. I feel like it'd be easy to use as a stamp :P

I also agree with Therm. The best way to distinguish ourselves from other projects is to have a unique, recognizable logo.

Thats why I think that some color would be good :)
I know my logo mock ups are to strange, but I have some more nonetheless lol

now with happy raddish!

Well to be fair most of those projects aren't around anymore, or aren't using the logo anymore.  I've just seen it a lot over the last 10 years of TES modding.

What I really NEED for the website is a logo that has a transparent background, so it can work regardless of the theme.  That means, crisp borders with no white/gray bits. I made the current logo at the top by deleting the background gray with the magic wand, but it would be a lot better to have a version that has a transparent background and no gray background.

Give me a logo like that and I can get it up in about a minute.  I honestly don't care that much what it is - bears or turnips - they are both good.  If you have a lot of time invested in the animated bear logo -- AND you think it can be used in the real Skyrim project -- then we can just use that.

Honestly I like the Tamriel map version, the other looks like some Altmer design. Can somebody please get this website ready for Thermador?

Yes happy, I will fix up the tamriel logo for better use with the site right now if everybody is ok with that.

EDIT: Here is the updated Tamriel logo for the site if we decide to use it:

If there are any changes let me know.

OK I put the logo up so you can see what it looks like.  Refresh your browser if you're not seeing it.

Actually, not a bear throwing up.  Reminds me of a billy goat taking a dump the more I look at it.  Tamriel is a weird continent. [External image]  But good enough.

Next thing I need is a good image to generate a favicon.  Obviously, no text, just some sort of logo.  I think the turnip logo would work great for that, but if you can make the map still look legible, that would be fine too.  Or maybe an icon that says "TRP" if that works.  I need a 256x256 pixel image anyway, if you're willing to make one.

Ok, this is one concept for the favicon I just worked on:

It may need some polishing but I think that the Neravine Logo would work good as a favicon too so I edited it in, in the background. Thoughts?

OK, it's set as the site's icon now. It is a little cramped with the turnips in it though; might be better just as "TRP" I dunno.

The icon file i'm using for the site has multiple sizes embedded in it: 16x16 24x24 32x32 48x48 64x64 96x96 128x128 192x192 256x256.  So it should still look good on a variety of different platforms.  I use convertico.org to make these in case you're wondering.

Hmm... its not showing up for me, but here is the version without the turnip:

I think that looks a lot better - you can read the TRP now.  You may need to refresh / F5 to see it.

Hm, you may have to clear your caches in your browser, then refresh.

I think it may have to do with chrome. I tried it on a couple computers and it doesn't seem to work, but on ie and im sure others it does. Weird, maybe it will magically fix by tomorrow.[External image]

Works for me in Firefox, IE, and Chrome.  You may have to clear your history etc. too.  Favicon updating can be a real pain sometimes.

Can you make an elongated version with the .com that i can use at the end of my videos? I need it to replace the version i have now:

So, my description of the bear throwing up did in fact resonate [External image] A billy goat, I did not see that yet, but now it can't be unseen [External image] I vote for not using the Tamriel Map, if you are still taking votes thermador. If "Radish Ur" is the alternative, so be it.

Again, I am grateful to the work you guys put in, but it is important to take an objective opinion once in a while, as one tends not to see the blemishes in one's own work...

Another suggestion: Use a different font for "TES". To the uninitiated, it looks like "TGS". The E is a G!![External image]

idk, how about some mushrooms?

What about the same concept with the emblem in Tamriel but using Tamriel's actual shape instead of the block one?

I know I'm a pawn on the board with all you knights, but what about having the three game names in a triangle, merge to the center and then that great new logo grow out from the merge center screen.
