[Relz] All Faces Randomized

Submitted by Hashmi1 on
Built on Morrowind_ob.esm v19 ... this plugin replaces the face of each and every NPC in morroblivion (ID starting with 0) with a randomly generated one from the Construction Set. This was done using an automation tool so I couldn't keep in view those NPCs that had already undergone a makeover by others, to make sure that each NPC got covered I did them all. The faces are just randomized ... not necessarily closer to morrowind's originals. Also some dark elf faces will still look rather similar ... that can't be solved considering the nature of facegen and the large number of dark elves present in morrowind. Download Here.

This would overwrite all the effort put in by everybody that has done faces. The idea is good, but the implementation needs some tweaking. Would it be possible to run this automation with a check for the values of the faces? When not modified, all the face values in hex are the same. You could check for that before randomizing.

Umm ... I dont really think I understand what are trying to say. The tool runs on the CS, just records a set of keystrokes\mouse movements and repeats them at a much higher speed. There are some advanced options but I dont think it can read hex. Now if the other's modified certain blocks of NPC's alphabetically or within a race then I could exclude those ... or if there are certain special NPC's like Diviath Fyr or a guard then those could be removed with TES4edit. Maybe you can give me a brief description of which NPC's have been modified ... I could think something up.

Sorry, I did not realize the Automation was a keystroke Macro. There will be no "easy" way to reconcile because all the tools are so clunky and cumbersome.

umm ... ok then. if you can point me to the esps which you merged for covering the faces ... I could think of something. Otherwise I will continue to host this as a mod and will update it to work with subsequent releases.

I think we can use this mod until will not appear any alternative. In any case, it is better than the monotonous face.

Faces have been an ongoing project since v003 when I merged Morowind Rebuilt by the Queen of the Ashlands. There have been a few, a few dozen, or a couple hundred done in most of the revisions since. With Tes4Edit it is possible to clearly see which NPC's have default faces. Unfortunately, with Tes4Edit you cannot just scroll through the list this way, but instead have to switch panes and slide down to the bottom on the right for each NPC. That's what I meant by it being clunky and cumbersome. But, that would be the best option I can see, to delete the NPC's from the random mod that already have had their faces done. But, a significant number of changes are being made to NPC's in v020, so I would recommend starting fresh after that has been released.
