Hi,

I've made a very basic 256 corner tileset piece in Max and textured it with some Skyrim textures (Attached Image 01)  When I export it (Img02) to a nif and open in nifskope, no textures appear. I just get a white model (Img03). How do I set up the textures ready for use in the CK.

Btw I used to make meshes a few years ago for Oblivion but i've forgotten how set things up.

Appreciate any help.

If you use photoshop, download the Nvidia DDS Plugin and save your textures as DDS. Use type DXT1 for regular textures and DXT5 for textures with an alpha.

It might be just that you havent set up NifSkope to look at your Skyrim textures folder.

Go to "Render-->Settings-->Add Folder", browse to your Skyrim "data\textures" and/or "data" folder to make sure the folder path is setup. You will need to close down NifSkope and reopen for effects to kick in. Obviously make sure that you copy your textures to Skyrim textures folder as well :-P

Yeah the vanilla MW/Skyrim models show their textures fine when I load those but oddly anything I export from Max (using Skyrim textures) wont display them.
Anyway I got it working with a bit of messing around with Nifskope.

Thanks.
