I've cluttered up Nedhelas' house in Caldera, here are some before/afters. I tried to stay true to the original style and layout of the house, just adding some clutter and detail where I felt the house was particularly empt.I've added some light as well to brighten up the dark area near the front door, or at least what was dark with the ENB. I was thinking of adding a bit more near the bed and front door, but thought it may look a little too crowded. There's some cobwebs as well behind some of the containers in the corners of the house (Pointed out since they're a little hard to see from a distance). I'm sure I didn't need this long of an explanation, but I like to be descriptive! Let me know your opinions/suggestions!!

*Thumbs up* looks good to me. Just an fyi, be careful of shadow lights, if you add more than 4, it'll start to flicker.

Remember to always test your lighting in game, because a lot of times it'll look completely different than the CK.
I will be testing it in-game, I've just been encountering problems getting Skywind to run in Skyrim. Once I've fixed that issue I'll be able to, in the meantime I may just see about working on another interior when I'm completely satisfied with this one. Then I'll just test and finalize whatever I finish when I can find a solution.
Lighting looks very nice, this is what we want throughout the game :)
This looks great!
Yes please!
It is really nice, but do not overdo it plz :) it is cheap house:)
I feel like the Tapestries should be a flat plane. Since tapestries are really heavy fabric, they hang in flat sheets. It's not natural for them to be curved like they are in the current assets.
Just cluttered up Bashuk gra-Bat's house in Caldera. (I replaced the normal light near the front door with the blue as the blue was already there stuck in the top corner of the wall for whatever reason, plus that lantern is supposed to emit blue light anyway.) Now that I'm getting a feel for all these new assets I'll be able to push these cluttered buildings out faster. Unfortunately it may be a while before they're actually finished, as I'm unable to test them currently due to some problem I'm having running Skywind in-game. I've taken some before/after shots; any opinions/suggestions are appreciated!
This looks good and my comment is not a reaction to anything I've seen but as Iniquity stated, make sure you get a feeling of the interior owner when you clutter. A poor NPC should still look poor and a rich one should look rich (how's that for realism?)
Keep up the good work.
*UPDATE*
Canodia Felannus' House is completed, work is about halfway complete on the Governor's Hall. I've added a bit in some other Caldera interiors and will complete them later. I'll post screenshots if they're requested, otherwise I'll wait until I have finished more of the city; that way I can just focus on the interiors instead of having to worry about taking screenshots immediately upon completion.
Did you use Skyrim food when cluttering the houses? I was going to have a go at cluttering the Pelagiad houses and was wondering if you strictly used Skywind assets or not.
You always duplicate a Skyrim form if you plan to use a Skyrim asset.
I largely used Skywind assets, though there were a few smaller Skyrim items I used. I'm sorry, but for now all I can really remember using from Skyrim was one of those soul gem containers, I'll be able to go back and look tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I only used Skywind food though, especially in the lower class houses I posted pictures of. I figured the only people who would have access to items or food imported from another province would be the richer folk, so in those interiors is where I'll likely use some Skyrim assets balanced with Skywind ones. Also, you should always do a little research on whatever NPC's house you're doing, it's always nice to reflect a bit of their personality, interests or their race's culture into their home. For example, with Ghorak Manor I plan to implement some aspect of Orcish culture, though I'm only doing this for them and not a common Orc like Bashuk gra-Bat as obviously they'd have the money to spend on those luxuries. The value of items is also important in an NPC's home, as they should reflect on their status. Sorry for over-answering your question, just thought I might as well share some extra information on how I go about decorating/cluttering in case anyone else had other questions about it.
> poor NPC should still look poor and a rich one should look rich (how's that for realism?)
> Ghorak manor
> decorating/cluttering
I agree. Please more social difference: nobles' homes should be decorated, peasants' homes should be cluttered and even can be several hoarders. Actually in skywind, community can mod some shacks to open constructions.
With the North and South Guard Towers in Caldera, I thought of blending what their use seemed to be in Morrowind as glorified warehouses with a more practical use for a guard tower. At the lower level of the tower I wanted to simply utilize it as storage space, stuffing it with assorted wares, while with the upstairs and connecting hallway place some weapon racks, armor in crates and some other things guards would have use for. OR, as there is currently no obvious place where the guards live/sleep, I could put beds in the lower levels of the towers, or at least the South Towers. Which sounds better to you guys? I took some before/after screenshots of some clutter work just to give an idea of how the lower tower would be used as storage space; also, how does the added hanging baskets look to you? I plan on stuffing them with kwama eggs or some other cheap ingredient. Let me know your opinions!
*edit* These images are of areas which are still WIPs, so they will be more detailed upon completion.
Both looks good and practical, nice screenshots.
Nice, that looks great!
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums, but I've lurked a lot in the last months since I really love this project.
Morrowind has always been my favourite game of the series.
I'd like to help in the cluttering work, I've cluttered tons of houses in Skyrim using CK.
(I can upload a sample of what I've done recently, mostly a dunmer redesign of the mod "Hill House")
Haven't seen any other thread about cluttering house interiors, so I'll ask here: can I help in any way with this?
Just wanted to post an update to let everyone know I am still working on Caldera; my progress has been slowed these last few weeks for personal reasons, but in the time I've had I've been continuing my work. Hopefully things get back to normal soon so i can get some real progress done.
Posting another update just to say that I'm back working on this, sorry about my leave of absence, there was just a lot going on for the last month or two. Some family matters as well as college and job stuff keeping me from focusing on much.
