I just did that after I finished fargoth's quest earlier tonight. The idea has been in my mind for some time. I already tested basic menu creation last week because I was intrigued.
So this is me, kicking off the project. Taking feedback. More info tomorrow or this week-end.
My favorite screen is the gameplay settings. It seems there is a lot of debate of whether to fast travel or not. With your setup, people can easily toggle it on/off if they want.
I can't read what it says under the factions screen. Does it say WIP? And under the great house section maybe it should only list the house that you're in. If I remember correctly you can only join one house, right? Or maybe if you join one house, the other two are just grayed out.
yes it's WIP, as in Work in Progress. I haven't put any code yet. Only hlaalu is done.
My vision was
guildA : Not joined/Expelled/rankName
guildB : Not joined/Expelled/rankName
for Houses, yeah normally you join only one (although I seem to recall there was a way to cheat in vanilla morrowind). I was thinking to show the three of them and obviously at least two would be "not joined". I guess we'll have to see what makes more sense. Either way would be doable.
With regards to the gameplay options toggle, they will most likely be controled by global variables so I think they should togglable in console, if you don't want to use SkyUI for some reason.
like it the killing count could also be for vampires ,npc, daedra ,kilt undead/magic,bow,melee
also count for craft items , enchanting ,potions making
and i would mind if this is also a optian for skyrim and the futere where skyblivion is alive because i find it cool and nowe i think about it why has no1 made this for skyrim
I really, REALLY like this idea, far more so than having random NPCs in Morrowind to discuss who contributed to the project and how. This is a much better way of incorporating credits, in my opinion. The other features are great as well.
- hotkey to display disposition of closest NPC (default is K, can be remapped)
- global reputation, Reputation in Mages Guild
- Quest completed counter for each major storyline.
- faction rank for the ashlanders, mages guild, imperial cult faction
- support player expelled from faction
- bsa compressed
I hate it when PC players use controllers... A mouse is so much more precise, and Sky UI is a huge amount better than the vanilla UI. And as sausage said, without Sky UI it is impossible to use MCM (Mod configuration menu).
I'm not sure why we don't add this into this into the main. I think if they don't have SkyUI installed it probably handles it fine. In the future this will have all sorts of goodies. If it cant be part of master, then the patch.
9.0.1
- support for Hlaalu faction ranks
- support for Hlaalu faction reputation
- support for freed slaves counter
9.0
- fixed quests completed counter
- support for tribunal temple faction ranks
- New crime page
- displays the bounty for every crime factions.
- new gameplay setting: enable/disable fast travel
8.2
- hotkey to display disposition of closest NPC (default is K, can be remapped)
- global reputation, Reputation in Mages Guild
- Quests completed counter for each major storyline.
- faction rank for the ashlanders, mages guild, imperial cult faction
- support player expelled from faction
- bsa compressed
I really think this should be merged with the master. Being able to choose whether to fast travel or not, and having this info on hand would be pretty much essential to me, and probably a lot of others as well.
You didn't explicitly mention when, and I don't read thoughts to know what others meant. Anyway discussing what should be done in future after the project is finished has the same value as discussing the means of transition between Skyrim and Skywind and similar "suggestun" threads.
Go do something meaningful to help the project instead of cluttering the forum, there are plentry of tasks that require minimum knowledge and proficiency, but a lot of free time. For example navmeshing or setting up locations in CK as digital asked.
We can suggest stuff if we like. You don't have to listen to our ideas of course, but that doesn't mean have a condescending attitude with every single person who doesn't directly contribute. You and people like you are the reason why I don't want to help directly. Also, instead of assuming stuff when it's unwarranted, how about asking for clarification first? It's not hard.
And I wasn't cluttering the forum anyways. I was stating my opinion which was in favor of having this integrated into the master upon release. There's a difference.
But seriously, I'd prefer we just make a new topic for the facts and configurator, preferably when it's more ready for implementation. Now that I've stained the topic with argument, I think we should just let it die.
If everyone's ok with that, I'll be the judge of killing my thread or not :)
Although I didn't get a lot of feedback on it, the plugin itself works and gets updated as per each Skywind release. Whether it will be or when it will be merged will be debated later. For the moment, it stays a separate mod.
This looks epic! :) When did you start working on this?
thanks!

Wow, 123456 cliff racers killed. Impressive
What, only 123456? That's absolutely pitiful...... :)
Only Jiub could kill 123456 Cliff Racers. That there Dunmer was a saint. :D
OP updated with more info. Now give me your feedback. I'm watching you, scum.
Its Nice, really nice) 'Factions' and 'Skywind info' looks so good)

it is cool))
awesome job mate! Im really impressed.
Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary for me to use SkyUI? I hate it. I use a controller anyway. Please tell me I don't need it....

for this mod you will have to use it. The base UI in skyrim just doesn't have a way to support it.

You need to watch this on how to use MCM with vanilla interface
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqh5anwuptk
cool i use vanilla as i use a controller, DONT JUDGE ME! lol i was raised a console gamer
This mod is not mandatory but I think it brings a lot..
Some settings/informations are based on global variables, I should probably post the details...
Some other features, like knowing the disposition of closest NPC, would not be available with this mod though.

I'm not sure what happens if you have this and not SkyUI.... Someone cares to test ?
Will do, i think nothing, like you just don't get the menu, no harm done.
Tested - It doesn't work without Sky UI, there is no MCM.
I like the concept, when I tested it looked fine. I'm just waiting for Skywind to be more complete so I can test this a bit more.
thanks :)
Next version will have bounty information and possibly control fast travel option.
Good, heaps of people ask if there will be fast traveling.
Really I don't understand all the talks about this, I'm of the school don't want this feature, just don't use it.. It's just that I saw this recently:
So if it's as simple as that, it's no big deal to implement:
http://www.creationkit.com/EnableFastTravel_-_Game
That's what I keep saying, but people are so retarded that they feel "compelled to use it".

You don't merge mods that are still in development and being updated.
Yes, I realize that -_-
I meant after it and Skywind are completed. No need to be so blatant.

Holy crap, I've had my fair share of arguments but please, stop, make peace. It's not worth it.
Gosh LA, way to be a necromancer :P

What, this was only 2 days ago haha?

That's fine, as it's your plugin. I just asked because I want to save as much space as possible.
