Hi everyone,

I am new on the forum. I am a freshly graduated 3d artist and I wanted to help on this project so here I am smiley

I was asked to work on a new version of the Staff of Magnus so here is my work.

Please don't hesitate to comment and criticize smiley

LOVE!!!

You totally got the shape of the weapon down. I like the glowing effect you've added to the orb. I think overall the texture looks a little too clean at the moment, from the Morrowind shots it looks like there should be a little more detailing with the gold and black like Ebony. This will be terrific to really set it apart from the Skyrim model. Amazing job!

Looks Great! Nice to see you on board! One thing i would say is to add a bit of grittiness to the staff but it looks amazing, well done!smiley

My only complaint is that the texture quality is a bit low. The original staff of magnus was shiny and had a high specularity, and with a larger texture resolution you should be able to really paint in some sharp details and light information into the diffuse.

Great job on the shape!

Agree with the masses, after a little more texture fidelity this will be nothing short of perfect! Keep up the great work!

Im very impressed with how you got the general shapes to look almost identical like the original o.o do you have plans for any of the other staves?

Thanks for the comments smiley I will improve the texture.

@Rebelzize : I have nothing else planned at the moment. But I liked to work on this staff. It could be great to work on another one.

I could totally see this as Trebonius' staff

Looking nice :)

I'd probably add some edge highlights to the spec map for more detail definition.
