Will I need 2 characters?

How will this work exactly? Will I need to have 2 separate characters, one for Skyrim and one for Morrowind? Because it would be pretty crazy if I could beat Skyrim first and reach about level 60-70, them march on over to Morrowind and dominate the quests that were normally meant for lower level players.

Though it may not be the "right" way to play it i don't see why a player can't just break the history.

Well then someone can make a mod for that Shushine. But the official game will not have that capability.

Coldfire if you choose to you

Coldfire if you choose to you will be able to play using the same character. This will be by either using console commands or by downloading an optional mod.

What about a character that

What about a character that became immortal in Vvardenfell and lived through the Oblivion crisis? Or is vampirsim something not counted into real Tamreilic lore?

The Nerevarine, due to his/her Corpus will live indefinitely until killed violently (or by something like drowning :P).

I'm actually getting

I'm actually getting conflicting sources from here and on Reddit.

Some are saying Morrowind and Skyrim will be two seperate worlds - you can't simply walk your level 70 Skyrim character into Morrowind, and vice versa. There will be two seperate characters for each world.

But some are saying that it will be possible to travel back and forth between both worlds with a single character and complete quests from both worlds with that character. Can any of the modders clear this up?

It won't be an official part

It won't be an official part of the mod.  Think of this as a separate game.  That being said, I'm sure once the mod is out someone will make a mod that gives you the ability to import and export characters.  Also, the same could be done with console commands.

This will not make it into the mod itself.

It's the players choice

It's the players choice whether they want to use their Skyrim save, so it's their choice to break the lore, not ours. That's why any addon created for this purpose will not be redistributed in the actual package.

This a new worldspace.

This a new worldspace. Nothing will prevent you from navigating from this one to Skyrim.

In the core package:

- there will be no way to navigate from one to the other, except from console commands (they're will certainly be optional mods)

- there will not be any explanation for the time difference (make your own in your mind or use an optional mod if it exists)

- Quest, creatures, enemies, etc.. will not be adapted to playing with a very high level from the beginning.

------------------

Optional mods

We embrace optional mods for skywind (including covering the poin above) but will not put a real effort in creating them or in supporting them (we being the core team). Any individual initiative is perfectly welcome.

how about the elder scroll's

how about the elder scroll's ability in "Skyrim" to send the player back in time to find the dragon rend shout, or the wooden mask that is in Laberanthien?  both of those send the player back in time.
