I've been working on the following tapestries for the last couple days now.  I tried posting this request earlier but the website kept saying I was a spam bot.

Notes:

• Tapestries are the same scale/size as the morrowind reference tapestries.
• I am saving the textures in the following sizes: 256x512, 512x1024 and 1024x2048 (the tapestries are rectangular and the choice of texture size reflects this) You can pick and choose which ones you want.

That looks awesome.  My only critique is that the hourglass looks like it's a photograph and kind of sticks out from the rest of the tapestry.  Regardless though it still looks great

@FavoredSoul: That is nice, but I ask that you please don't go overboard with the changes ... even though this is an Imperial religion ... make the changes not look so "random"

I appreciate your input but I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying...

I wasn't aware I was being "random" with the way I was going about recreating the tapestries. There are only two elements to these tapestries (1) border patterns (2) religious motif, and that's exactly what I've done. A nice border and the motif in the middle. If you're suggesting I should squint and try to make out the exact style of pattern that is present in the original borders of the tapestry, cause ANYTHING other than the exact same border would be considered a "random" change.

 As for the colours which you may also be referring to... They were not random. They're based off of the oblivion imperial motifs found in the cathedrals. 

Also, I am aware that morrowind is a foreign land. If you're thinking maybe the tapestries should look more 'dunmeri' so as to appear more conformative  with local styles, I think that that would be culturally reductive to the imperial religion. The imperials are 'colonists' spreading the glory of the empire, not a band of immigrants merely looking to assimilate themselves into dunmer society.

Now I could have completely read your post wrong and i apologise. Otherwise, maybe what you really mean to say is that you think the tapestry just doesn't seem quite right? That would be a fair point to make. I am still experimenting with how I want to go about the style of the depictions.... That's why I only posted one picture of one tapestry. That's the glory of layers in photoshop. I have several iterations of the tapestry. I simply picked the one I liked most. 'Artistic license' and all that.

I ended up making some changes and am in the midst of finishing the Eight. Perhaps by tonight; the day is yet young.

The tapestries are finished; simply haven't had the chance to upload them yet. Hopefully tomorrow. If not, the day after, guaranteed!

wonderful work if you could get these uploaded i think i could use these on the loom they would look great and give me some of the variation im needing

Bare in mind this would be scaled vertically slightly, so, squash your writing vertically by 20-30%

Also all banners and tapestries use skyrims basic UV so we can reuse their animated meshes
