Skyblivion Guard Armor

Submitted by GendunDrup on

Heres the Imperial Guard

Tried to make the character for these screenshots look like an Oblivion guard character too, too bad I couldn't give him a green beard

Thank you, but I can't take the credit. Bethesda is the one who made it, all I did was move it on to work on the skyrim engine

Should I update the textures with Qarl's textures?

Yes please. I meant fantastic in how it fits on the character :p friend of mine encountered weird clipping issues so its great to see how well this fits

This is a really successful port! Are you planning to do any others? Or have you already?

On the textures, These one look pretty good already, but if we can use updated ones, that would look great. But I was thinking, perhaps we should slightly modify these? Because Oblivion guards took such a strange visual turn after Morrowind, and they look more like knights than legionaries, which they again went back to in Skyrim. We should definitely use this as a base, but perhaps we should add more red, or Morrowind/Skyrim inspired aspects when texturing, at the least.

Since you ported this armor, do you think that you could port it's horsemen helmet? I really liked that one's crest.

I don't mean to sound demanding, I simply seek to inspire talk around this.

And once again, great port!

I'll post screenshots of the horsemen helmet and royal guard armor later

This should be locked

Why?

Please use vanilla textures, there are retexture mods available for armors on oblivion nexus, and we want to keep Skyblivion compatible with them.

Kk, I'll stick with vanilla

Damnit Gendun you awoke the thread, instead can someone (or me) make an armour thread?

I recreated it, since that thread was filling with nonsense, and it was locked

Oh right, in that case I reckon change the title to not say "Guard" so that a) people can upload conversions of any armour and b) to avoid confusion, just as a precaution.

It will still be compatible, just the base Skyblivion won't be fugly. There is no reason not to use Qarl's or something here.

Vanilla only, just keep it simple, either way it doesn't affect anything.
