Anyone with the ability to type and read who can't model or anything but still wants to help and has time to dedicate? And will actually work? We need to overhaul the voice acting Excel sheet. It's the source of probably 80% of the VA problems. Gigarat made us an awesome Google Doc for assigning roles, but the dialogue itself has some serious issues.
If you have any expertise in organizing stuff like this, I would love to have something like the Google Doc instead of the Excel - where it's freely available on a site and editable by a team given 'edit' capabilities.
The main problems of the Excel are: self-referencing lines (characters referring to themselves in the third person); characters with only one line of unique dialogue and NO unique greetings; Oblivion file naming system instead of Skywind file naming system. If we had a nice system in place for editing, people could be assigned small subsets of the characters by race and name, and edit/add lines as necessary.
For self referencing change the self-naming to 'myself' and remove typos. For characters in need of a unique greeting, I could write a pool of dialogue to choose from based on race and occupation. merchants' greetings would be like "What can I get you?" or whatever. Lastly, changing the file names should be pretty easy. Divided among several people, the whole thing could be done fairly quickly.
I'm all ears for ideas on how to get this organized. We get this ball rolling, and the sailing will be considerably smoother going forward.

I personally think the way to
I personally think the way to go is to have a thread for each npc just like i'm doing with interiors and models.
Its so much more visible to the public. People can leave specific to the character voice samples. Comments can be added about dialog changes, or syntax needed. Plus it makes it very clear if it has been completed or not.
