Drawing Weapon - Not Very Responsive?!

Submitted by ghksfd on

Once I installed Morroblivion, it took at least 2-3 (sometimes 4-5 times or more) clicking attempts to have the equiped weapons (any offensive weapon) successfully drawn. Don' t know if anyone experienced this?

Every time when I encountered some hostile beings, I needed to evade (more often took some beatings) at least a few seconds before I could successfully drawn any weapon to counterattack. Any cure for this issue?

My guess is there is a conflict. In these cases a load order would be helpful, but unfortunately this is not Nexus and there aren't a bunch of people hanging around that can spot problems with load orders just by looking at them. If you have ONLY Oblivion.esm and Morrowind_ob.esm do you still have the issue? Unfortunately, you're probably going to need to disable one mod at a time to isolate the culprit. My only guess is that something you have is confused because it doesn't recognize Morrowind ID's.

I just thought of something else. This might be the Animation Bug. There is a known issue in Oblivion that will occur sometime after 200 hours of playing. Certain types of animations become piteously slow, like casting spells and opening some types of doors. This is sometimes referred to as the "A-Bomb." Wrye Bash can fix this, and there are a cople of other utilites somewhere on Nexus.

Thank you. I have Wyre Bash. Which function should I utilize to fix this "A-Bomb"?

On the Saves Tab, Right-Click on your save game. The option is 3rd from the bottom, "Repair Abomb."

Thank you. I tried it. Bow based weapons seems to be more responsive, but melee weapons' responsiveness remain the same.

You mentioned about some other utilities in Nexus that potentially could fix this, any suggestions on the top of the list??

...I really hope that is a way to fix this... because I have 100+ mods enabled...

I mentioned other ustilities in regars to fixing A-Bomb, not your problem. If you have ANYTHING that affects combat, like Deadly Reflexes, etc., that is what you should start with first. This is not a common problem; you have very few options other than manually isolating the culprit.
