This thread is for the new animators coming to the project. The following is a must in order to be a animator for us
You must have:
Skyrim GOTY or Not-http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/sub/28187
3ds Max 2012- http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software (with some knowledge)
Nif&Kf Import/Export Scripts-http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5622/?
Animation "noob" tutorial Completely read and understand the notes-http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15238/?
HKXCMD anim converter-http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1797/?
Must pick a creature and ANNOUNCE that you are working on it, we don't want people to waste their time working on the same.
-Current Creatures Needing new anims-
Betty Netch
Scamp
Ancestral Guardian
Rat
Ash Ghoul
Ash Zombie
Ash Slave
Ogrim (taken)
Nixhound (taken)
WingedTwilight (off-limits)

I also found the following tutorial very helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tskAnP5O09U
I tried following the tutorial pdf given above, but ran into several problems, some of which don't seem to be documented anywhere else on the net. The youtube tutorial got me working in Max very quickly.
I have to verify.
This requires Skyrim GOTY?
I am not sure where I can get that online. Is this something I'll have to buy in stores?
I plan on documenting some info on doing animations with IK constraints at some point, but as it stands I don't have much time, nor am I very good at doing tuts. I'll update this when ever I get that down. Probably in the next week or so, hopefully.
You shouldn't need any of the dlc for most of the animations, expect for the betty netch (which probably needs the dragonborn dlc). So if you have skyrim sitting around you should have all the assets you need.
Great, thank you for letting me know :)
The "Or Not- (Store link to Legendary edition)" through me off I thought the person was saying you can't have the legendary edition but you can the GOTY edition so I was confused there.
I am going to try and use what resources I can to self learn, but if you end up contributing some documentation that would be great too :)
