I'll post my progress here. I haven't been able to get much done this week, but I hope to get much more done this coming week. I'm new to modding/modelling for games so I welcome any and all advice/critique. I shouldnt have any problems with UV mapping, but when it comes to texturing I have only used bump maps rather than normal maps. I've watched some tutorials so I have an understanding of normal maps but I may need some help.

[MIA] Cooking fires, pots, pits

Coming along nicely. You can afford to use more polys for the fireplace :) In fact really etch out some more detail.
Thanks for the feedback! Just a little update: I got some other simple meshes done, Ill post pics when I have more stuff worth showing. Also, not having photoshop on my desktop has been slowing my progress, but I just got it so hopefully I can move these models along and have some textured pieces to show!
Thoughts or suggestions? Also, I'd like to try to start texturing some of the models; what resolution should i use for objects like the cauldron or fire pit? Also, anyone know any good tutorials on creating normal maps? I only have experience creating bump maps.
Yea, they look good. Make fireplace 3 pieces though. Would make many combination with or without the shelf and with the stacked firewood on one side or both.
