Awesome, these will help tremendously!!

Its also great that you labeled and numbered your art. Few do ;)

@LASentry: Thanks.

1) For region 1(above) I will add structures like in old good rts (starcraft) levels in some places. Stratification like down here (I don't see point to polish it if all assets are done)

You can add as many levels do u want. This is only example. Of course some vegetation on slopes would be good too (maybe A. red bark pine type and B. brown bark oak; some distorted shapes).

2) Structures like 1# crack (caverns) I will only add in region 1 and 2 but only a few (anyway it's up to u).

3) In region 2 I like those dead trees but why they are so low-polygon? Dead and spare vegetation will be good to show latitude here.

4) On frontier of region 2 and 3 I will add some transition between 1. north West Gash grass with dry shrubs and 2. central West Gash grass. As smooth as it is possible.

5) In region 3 I really want to see those little bumps (this place is quite flat for it) like 2. central West Gash grass but I don't know if landscape brush can do that (doing it manual will cost a lot of time). a. white(flowering cherry) leaves b. red leaves c. violet leaves and B. brown bark oak type, c. white bark plane-tree type will create very colorful scenery but much different than Grazelands.

6) Region the same like 3 but with 3. south West Gash grass with flowers (not everywhere), maybe more dense forest.

7) For region 5. and 6. I have some ideas but this is distant future. I make reservation for it If I can :P

@Yours Truly, Thanks but I think it should be standard here If we want to work efficiently.

Cheers.

As someone noticed this concept doesn' fit in Azura's Coast maybe it will be better for West Gash (of course without mushrooms). It woul be good viewpoint too to admire this whole region (marked as red area, maybe smaller). BTW. I think each region should have some unique viewpoint.

@ Thanks Roman ;)

I know you've kicked this idea around a lot, but how about having this wall make up the border between the Ashlands and the Grazelands?  That transition always looked abrupt to me, but this formation might make sense there.  Not quite as arid in the Grazelands, but sort of like a Savannah - certainly not as wet as the Bitter Coast, Ascadian Isles, or Azura's Coast.  The Grazelands also fit with your art for the 'vista' also.

Really thorough, nice work.

I've been working on this area and I think that it's a good idea to an extent, but it needs to look more rock-like. Currently I am using sedimentary rocks. You also have to remember that on the other side of those rocks are the ashlands, but I think it always comes down to the assets available. I'll be getting new ones in a few months, but right now I have to make do.

@Smitehammer For me it could be grazelands or west gash but West gash my favor is. I only want to see that formation in game :P

@LASentry I can sketch sth to clear out If u don't have assets right now. But I think we don't need any transition here if we have on the west gash side this waveform and for ashland side indigenous rocks. Anyway there is no paths here.

@Sasquatch Thanks :)

Hm, I could use something like the picture with the cliff racer for steep shores or something in Azura's Coast. (with a different color, of course.) Maybe something like this with the upper part(not seen in the pic) as a generic/swappable landscape texture:

Some ideas on flora. Main inspiration was flora from Galapagos/Sokotra and some arid climate. I just want to keep alien feel of Vva..whatever. Alysander gave some cool ideas for inspiration.

Blades in 1. and 3. are similar to this

2. 3. are more or less cactus. But not cactus.

4. They don't have leaves but sth like that or that It can have several color variations.

1. I'm not sure to create them in more Vita's trees color. B

2. I was inspirited of Puya raimondii. But this version with succulent leaves

3. Just sth like that. Best option will be replacement of bushes but I'm not sure if is it possible.

And bonus combined joshua tree with alysander examples.

Instead of spikes it has got tabs to catching humidity

Combined with already existing bushes it will give quite cool effect.

I wait for feedback.

some of these are excellent for wg but some are best for coastal areas, they're very corally.

Good concepts. I like
1pic: 1(b,c),3(a,b),4(a,b) - not sure about how to make 2 noticeable, small and lowpoligonal at once.
2pic: 1(a,b,d) and 2a - 3 have same issue as ^ (maybe it would be nice to make them like big agava-like)

You can use some of this to hybridise with your ideas:

Also WG even if it is so small really can use some tumbleweed so u can use some its' essentials too.
Plant Pic2.2 can be polygonised easily, but can look repetitive.

I think i ll do it later, it need only basic corrections/simplification/upgrading

@alysander

I combined these examples with Joshua tree. 1. in first picture can be sphere with alpha.

But I'm not sure If it would be lighter than your example.

3. in second one should be some kind of cluster to save polygons.

4. Could be even lighter by using planes with many examples.

Btw. I'm sure there are many tricks to keep them light.
