Todd's Test Room.

Submitted by davyou5 on

 Hello all,

I am getting the complaint from my mother that the Todd's Tesing Hall floor is missing, and her character is falling, and is getting upset at the fact she can't get any of the items in the boxes that she could before the mods installation. I am all out of idea's as to the cause of the floor being missing... I am hoping some of you all here have something in mind:). thanks.

If you are using Hashmi's High-Res texture replacer, then this is a known issue. Check out his thread: http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/mods/1151 The best fix, at the moment, would seem to be to reinstall the complete installation back on top of itself to replace the replacements.

I have not looked into this, but in the testing hall my floor is also missing. I think that morroblivion could be a cause because in the corner of the cell there are an assortment of random morrowind items which suggest that the cell was edited at one time.

I left out the fact that I have not yet installed Hashmi's texture replacer so the problem could have another cause.

As to both of your answers here, my mother got the idea to use the Collision code "TCL", therefore floating to the needed Door that she wanted to go to..

Now, I have not, to my knowledge, installed Hashmi's texture replacer.

So for now there is a solution, though the floor is still missing, But another problem also exists, a way to get out, in which a "Mark and Recall" mod is used.

How did she do this..

First you need the "Mark and Recall Mod" Which is a spell to recall you to the previous area, then after the Recall spell was cast, she then opened up the command and typed in "TCL" which turns Collision off. The Next step was to type in coc testinghall, once there your floating, By Holding down the "W" key your slowly, and I do mean Slowly moving forward toward any of the doors you also have to have the camera at a slight upward angle to keep yourself moving upward as well as forward, but the only door she really wanted to get to was the one that had the room filled with the many boxes for various items in the game, IE Armors, Books, Items etc "Wooden Door" though there is two of those doors named just that.

the other way but not to the "Wooden Door", was just to type in the warehouse name IE, coc warehouseclothes, to teleport you to the room, still if you wanted to get out then you would just recast the "Mark and Recall" spell which would teleport you back to the area you were before.

That's how she is able to get to the door she wanted to go to. So for all of you who also relied upon going to the testinghall to get anything you wanted, and are experiencing the same problem, this is one solution. But you need a "Mark and Recall" mod in place, or the Codes for an area to teleport to IE coc bruma, or something like that. Most here will know better than I would.

I have no idea what to tell you about this. 0TodTest has very solid floors for me. I ran around and around the whole place. "Testinghall" will indeed be whacked because Morrowind touches it as HelpfulPerson observed. Two ESM files, Oblivion.esm and Morrowind_ob.esm Cannot touch the same cell. It gets goofy. I will fix that for the next release. You don't need to type TCL before typing COC if there is no floor. Just hit the "~" key as soon as you can; this stops the fall, then type coc and just run back to where you want to go. That would be a lot faster, evey if you fell quite a bit before being able to catch yourself. An even better way of getting free goodies would be just to make your own mod. Filling the barrel outside the Census office would be very easy to do, and the start of a whole new world of "modding" for you... Although, agreed it is much more fun to sneak things you're not "supposed" to rather than just giving yourself anything you want.
