thanks eloth ive not had a chance to say hi to you yet just doing the uv mapping for the loom now hopefully should be done by the end of the day with textures in place im not sure how 2d planes react in CK from 3ds max is there any special set up i will need for it to be 2 sided i know this is the case for things in UDK. also i heard there may be a nif exporter for 3ds max 2013 which would be handy if any one has a link
i was looking at the dev videos and noticed that this will be used for crafting so would that mean there will be animations for this loom like with the grind wheel, enchanting ect or will it still just be static item with the animations on the player i have left some room for the arm to swing slightly without clipping into the cloth if needed however i have no skill atm for the animation side of things so some one would have to do that for now untill i gain the skills needed to do this myself other than that im glad you like it all up till now i will keep posting the results as and when i can and sorry for all the questions just want to make sure all is correct and done right from the start
looks great! you said you would tweak the tanning rack a bit more and I couldnt help but notice that the pieces of string (ropes) that bind the poles together looks to clean, they should be more worn like the string binding the hide to the rack.
they look clean due to no texture theres only the bump map in place for now also the plane for the skin needs to be pushed back into the wood to hide the edge good spoting tho :)
loom is very good.
will be good to see potter's wheel too.
----
we will need to add some craftsmen in game.
it will be shame if we will leave population in towns same.
@LAsentry thank you alot of work went into it and the rest will be up to the same standard
@alysander hmm i haven't been informed about a potters wheel but i will make one up and ask eloth about it before hand would be nice to have one around the kiln and perhaps it could be used for shaping and prepping the raw materials before wonder if bonemold would have been made like clay and fired hmmmm i will have a look at the lore about if the bonemold process could be built into it
First, I just wanted to say that everything looks amazing! And a potter's wheel has not been planned as of yet, but if one is made, I would gladly incorporate it into the expanded crafting system.
@smite the guar attacked first i had to defend myself the nerevarine shall not be brought down by a guar lol yup i was thinking about trying a few different types of leather and skins as its only a texture it will be easy swapped in and out perhaps different variants for each area lets wait and see what i come up with
@yixist already done the ties i like to post my updates at the end of each day this was just as far as i got at that point i have been playing with different ideas and rope models to hold them on to keep the poly count down
heres the spools again but one for any lore freaks or Easter egg hunters one for each house hope you all like and thanks to denevir for the idea (edit* looks like the colours are off on a few will fix tomorrow or when i get chance)
heres the loom modeled took a while due to the original being a mess but had fun doing it
very nice, this looks awesome :)

here a video of a test i did for the looms swinging arm to see how much movement i could get and im quite happy with the result https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA9J9g7qSXY
love it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT6gx4db7z8 this a resource for whomever makes the animations for the loom, I would do it myself but i lack the skills.
Very nice work. I cant tell you how long it took to get somebody to finally do these! Well that is a lie, 2 years.
completed the loom all files attached if theres anything wrong with the files or anything needs changing let me know
This is b-looming great. The link gives an access denied error, so can you upload it elsewhere please?

spinner_01 there slowly
Pics are missing...
thanks for the heads up all are corrected now
These look great, I especially like the forge :). Maybe an anvil could be placed nearby (until the forge is usable ;) ). Fantastic work.
awesome work scumpunx :D
thanks not sure if this will be part of the extra crafting system or will replace the smiting forge altogether but we shall find out :)
looks great! you said you would tweak the tanning rack a bit more and I couldnt help but notice that the pieces of string (ropes) that bind the poles together looks to clean, they should be more worn like the string binding the hide to the rack.
just my opinion of-course :)
they look clean due to no texture theres only the bump map in place for now also the plane for the skin needs to be pushed back into the wood to hide the edge good spoting tho :)
For the rope id make it one smoothing group also so it doesn't have the edge.
Well those look... ridiculously good.

@scumpunx

IMHO maximal good to use grindstone as basis for it. So animation will be simpler to change.
Simplest concept:
First, I just wanted to say that everything looks amazing! And a potter's wheel has not been planned as of yet, but if one is made, I would gladly incorporate it into the expanded crafting system.
You guar murderer!
That looks great! Think a retexture for netch leather could also be made for the netchimen?
Shouldn't the ropes holding up the guar hide be properly attached to the frame, ie. wrapped/tied?
At the moment they just look like they disappear into the wood. Apart from that, looks great!
@smite the guar attacked first i had to defend myself the nerevarine shall not be brought down by a guar lol yup i was thinking about trying a few different types of leather and skins as its only a texture it will be easy swapped in and out perhaps different variants for each area lets wait and see what i come up with

And thats what we like to call "attention to detail"
attention to detail would be that i missed a smoothing group better fix that up :)
i didnt think that this would cut it anymore http://tesrenewal.com/files/happychappy/images/spool01.jpg

The Dagoth one is a nice touch. Great work :)
