Can Someone Explain?

Submitted by waveyjones on

Can Somebody explain to me and to all non-PC players out there as to why this mod can not be integrated onto xbox360 or PS3?

Would there ever be a chance that Besthesda DOES want to publish this for 360 and PS3?

Nope I can't, Sorry!

But looking at your question I guess you actually own one of those machines, why don't you install and run a mod on them? Maybe then you will find your answer.

Weaker hardware. Closed platform. SKSE and mods don't work on 360/ps3. Releasing a patch/update for xbox 360 games costs about 10 000 dollars. Also, this is going to be for free. There's tons of corporate stuff involved to get it on consoles.

But what if bethesda decided to handle all of that? Is that a possibility?

There arent people who could just engineer this into a console-playable disc? Forgive me because i dont really know how the whole video game production process goes

Bethesda Softworks has already confirmed that they will be releasing Skywind & Skyblivion this November as the final DLC.

Can you please not announce this publicly, we are still under a confidentiality contracts with Bethesda.

It will never be on console. Enough said.

Consoles just don't support this sort of modding.  Simple as that.  Unless of course you hack your console, which has an extremely high chance of just breaking it beyond repair.

And I'm willing to bet with 100% certainty that Bethesda will never publish this.  The legal gymnastics involved are something I'm sure they're not interested in dealing with.

If you want to play it like you would the 360/PS3 versions of Skyrim, versions of those controllers are available as USB gamepads for the PC, and PC Skyrim has fully integrated gamepad support.

Yes, Skyrim has official support for the xbox 360 controller. I use it myself.

Where did you find that Bethesda "confirmed" the release of Skywind and Skyblivioin?

I figured, seems like anything pertaining to console systems these days are a joke. Sucks for me I guess...

Get a PC -- you won't regret it! And you can get a good one that is more powerful than the PS4 for about the same price. It's a great investment, and if you want a more powerful rig in the future, it's easy to upgrade with minimal effort. :)

Once you got PC gaming you never go back.
