This thread is dedicated to my landscaping work for the Northern West Gash. I will upload screenshots and files for everyone to test here.

Yeah, I saw in chat :P So I tested it and it didn't look all that great. Maybe if we had Grazelands/Southern West Gash grass but autumn colours it would look good, but the rift grass looked pretty bad.

Grass test - for Rav :)

Thanks :D Hopefully it's a worthy addition to the game. I haven't got too much to do before the area is covered, but I will do a second pass over and make sure everything is good. Chances are I may have a few new textures and models to work with by then (hopefully) :)
I don't know how hard it is
I don't know how hard it is to retexture vanilla grass, but as soon as you put something unaltered from Skyrim, it starts looking like Skyrim [External image]

Yeah, I know right haha... I think something that new grass models/textures would definitely help diversify Skywind from Skyrim.
Absolute great going.
Absolute great going.
I have only one suggestion : boats in towns not suite good with animated sea waves - it should be better to place boats on sand.

Oh right, I haven't even modified towns in that way, yet. I will change it.

[External image]WOW!!! That was my impression when I opened up this thread again, that last capture it simply FLOWS everything together, you really nailed it!
Testing browner, more
Testing browner, more desaturated sediment textures. It's only a subtle difference in this one but I'll post a few more with even browner colouring.

Why is it that suddenly 75% of the pictures that get posted show up as broken links, and when I try to open them in new tabs I get a page that says "Access Denied"? Is anyone else having this issue? Are non-contributors just blocked from seeing them now?

I don't know - when I log out the same thing happens.

Hmm, its the same colour as down Balmora way...boooooring...I enjoyed the reddish tones up North much more. I'd go for a colour in between.

I for one, quite like the browner hues, not completely brown, but enough to tone down what previously felt a bit too reminiscent of the american southwest. I think this will be a much better transitional color. Also are there going to be more trees? I know it is desert-ish but I think a few more trees, ones that aren't totally dead but with sparse leaves would look great.
My last suggestion, maybe add more crumbly rock stuff/gravel toward the bottom of the pillars and large boulders to break up the transition between rock and grass.
Looks amazing though, you guys are doing an incredible job with the landscaping and I feel like this one especially is fast becoming my favorite with the direction you've taken it in.
I'm going to do a 75% current
I'm going to do a 75% current, 25% brown, or around that anyway.
