Is there a mod that buffs Vivec?

Submitted by GunnerofLife on

If I remember correctly, when I tried to fight Vivec in Morroblivion, I swung once and then he died. Maybe it was two hits, I honestly don't remember. I remember having a lengthy battle with him in Morrowind using the best weapons and armor I had. Although my Sword of the Crusader was pretty strong (especially after the Knights of The Nine: Revelations mod), one hit is still immersion breaking for someone of his stature, even with the whole "my powers are weakening from disconnection with the Heart of Lorkhan" excuse.

Is there a mod that buffs Vivec's stats by... a lot? If not, can any of you verify this: Is personally buffing Vivec as simple as going into the Morrorowind_ob.esm and tweaking his stats manually?

As a side note, I hear that the Tribunal main quest is pretty much finished. The last time I used Morroblivion it was still a WIP. Should I assume that Almalexia, and for that matter - Gaenor, is as weak as Vivec?

I remember in Morrowind Vivec didn't even have a spell to cast at you if you attacked him, they should add a devastating spell that he uses against an attacker

Vivec and Gaenor have exactly the same health as they do in Morrowind. Just checking Almalexia right now revealed that I completely forgot adjusting her health as well. The reason that Gaenor was so strong in Morrowind was his insane luck count and how the luck based combat system worked. Essentially you just were never able to hit him. In Oblivion's engine this system just isn't there, so he becomes like any other enemy. The same applies to Vivec and Almalexia who both have all their stats at 100, including Luck. In addition, in Morrowind both were actually creatures with high stats, while in Oblivion they're NPCs. But they're not wearing armor so that might make them easier enemies as well. Magic resistance and armor also worked a bit differently.

The easiest, albeit temporary way is to crank up Oblivion's difficulty setting to the max while fighting those enemies. That way they'll be able to take more damage. Quite frankly I don't think Oblivion's combat system lends itself to artificially expanded Boss Battles because it does get boring after a while. Having said that, Almelexia does use quite a lot of spells which will make her a hard enemy to fight. I'll get to fixing her health and maybe something extra soon as possible. Oh and yes, the Tribunal mainquest is 99% done. (1 lamp and 1 creature mesh not converted which you won't even notice really). The Sidequests are also done but not all of them are in the current master.

Edit: Almalexia's health fixed here.

Should I assume that manually increasing their stats (like health) with the CK won't work? Should I also assume that Vivec and Almalexia have their own unique spells like in Morrowind? So is it possible to change the damage output and duration of those spells?

Yes, you can change whatever you want in the CS. At least Almalexia has one or two unique spells.

Taking Vivec,Almalexia  Stat Up is Not Going to Help Unless you Set them Near to God, Tone Down the Player to Vivec Level No Clothes Same Weapon as He is Using, same With Almalexia,  while running Max  Difficulty. with No Enhancements on Player or Weapons.
