SO far so good.
In zbrush, I took my dreugh hi poly, masked off the pieces of hard shell, extracted and shelled them, then reprojected them.
Here are all the pieces to be used.
I have to shrink them down a bit, and I think it would require 2-3 dead dreugh to make enough pieces to make the full armour.
This will be fun, dont think ive done a full armour before. :)

[RELz] Dreugh Armour[FINISHED] + Weapons [WIP]
Edited by: Ravanna on 08/07/2014 - 06:47

I'm liking the look of this, Ravanna.
Gotta have that face on my chest.
I agree with 50% of that comfy, though i thought the skull shrunk down would fit over the eyes, looking through the eyeball gap in the skull. I do like the horn effect though..
i could go either way, definitely like the horns thing though
Nice! The horns are a bit much for my liking, but they can work too. Now add a turqoise scarf on it, and some fabric around the waist :D
lol did u make te dreugh to be armor because it looks al perfect to be armor
and maby put the face covering skul part inplace of a mouth piece but its cool to see no mather howe u look at it
Looks great Ravanna!
some areas i'm struggling with.
still plenty to play around with.
when I refine it, each peace will become thinner and sharper.
Throw some beefy shoulders on there and slim down the cuirass and it looks AWESOME. I also like both varients of the helm.
Ok so added basic gauntlets, greaves, cuirass (front) and the beginnings of the helm (front)
Need to finish the back helm and cuirass, may use the same armour pieces as the front.
I think (only my preference on the matter) it needs around the stomach area to be smaller and a knee cap plates replacing the bottom thigh side plate. other then that I think it looks awesome.
you got some mad skills Rav. can't wait to see it finished!
Looking great! I'm loving the design of the helmet and gauntlets.
Stunning. Far better than any of the official stuff. I wonder, what it would look like if you used the piece you used for the shield, on the upper back. Maybe with the pointy end extending up to the back of the skull. To the occipital region? Might look cool.
outstanding! keep it up bro XD
I feel like the shoulders need more bulk. And maybr bring the lower back in a bit. Other than that, it's good.
damn man, this will easily be my fav armor :D great job
amazing!
Will there be Pauldrons?

Ravanna,
Excellent work and my personal favourite is the creases in the cloth :D
Have you managed to get it animated yet? im looking forward to seeing that thing walk :)
Perfect ! flawless !faultless !

animated its armor lol
Are the gauntlets going to be fitted with basic leather gloves beneath the shell parts?
Edit: Also, have you tried swapping the outer leg shells with the uppper arm shells? I would like to see how that would look.
Excellent crabby armour ; )
Love the detail and shape. If feels very "morrowindish", but I can't help myself thinking in Predator when I look at the helm ;)
I dont think the original concept is THAT important in this particular case. The armour was made out of dreugh pieces - the dreugh is a bit different comparing to morrowind - mostly due to animation issues and such - making dreugh model that doesnt "fit" this artwork and armor that does "fit" the artwork wouldn't make much sense, eh?
long time since last update.

Lobster boots. I still say you should do that dunmer steel concept, whether it was decided against or not, because FUCK THE SYSTEM.
Nice! :D
Delicious in more ways than one.
looks awesome man.
Awesome! Awesome!
Now please upload 3D preview to DA
zergy!
I cant upload as 3d to DA, these are in zbrush, I wont be baking for a while yet.
Heres the full armour in zbrush, minus the hand protection.

Obligatory: This armour is already done, design changes are a bit too late, no Drago didnt design this, I did, let the fight commence...
NOW!

CRAB BATTLE!

It's pretty much exactly what I had in mind, so no fight on my part :P You also applied the changes I asked you about ;)
Except maybe the goggles - I'm not too sure about them. They seem to take away a bit from the menacing look of the previous helmet, and also coastal Dunmer who use Dreugh probably don't need that much ash protection, but I'm still okay if they stay.
> minus the hand protection
= actually that is good if not all armor/weapon serie (of one material) is complete
= also i would be pleased if for example bow from ebony or stalhrim would worse than wooden.
some abstract things in games really weird.
There will be no ebony bows in Skywind.

I actually really really like the fabrics. Sure they might be made better by being dirtied up a bit, I guess? But I love it's bright look and how well it contrasts with the armor itself, like it really pops and it just looks hella cool and it really makes the set look even more unique. Maybe because they're complimentary colors
surface detail on stuff like cloth, and general colours, are not final, since this is only zbrush, textures are perfected after baking
This is my most favourite thing ever!
This is WONDERFUL! I can't wait to try on my dreugh armor. This is STELLAR! I've been waiting for quite some time to see how this would develop. This is one of my favorite Skyrim/Skywind armors now.
I'll admit, though, the lenses throw me off a bit (compared to the previous version without lenses). I understand why they're there, though, seeing as how Vvardenfell suffers from ash storms. Not sure why it throw me off, but either way, it's amazing and I won't complain! :)
It's awesome, as per the norm. I do have to say that the googles look decidedly out of place with the rest of the aesthetic. Perhaps some darkened eye holes would be better, and less poly as well. Also, not to nitpick, but the thigh is very thin in the profile. They look fine from the front, though.
As per eye protection, goggles is not the only way Dunmer do that - Redoran mount semi-transparent fabrics in their bonemold helmet visors for example.
