This is where you can upload your Orc (Orsimer) voice auditions. Please keep this thread only for auditions - feedback and other comments relating to voice work can be posted in the hub thread.
Sample Lines:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Bugrol_gro-Bagul You wanna help? Sure you do, good friend. Look--those guys in Caldera think I did something bad, so they're looking for me. I'm too smart for them, though. I can hide real good. My friend can help me. Maybe you bring her a note for me? I can give you a present. Really! http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Gashnakh_gra-Mughol I'm the foreman here at Tel Uvirith. I keep the workers in line and make sure the job gets done, though these mushrooms just about grow themselves. Voice Description: Orcs in Morrowind, while not actually stupid, certainly have their intelligence allocated to parts of their brain other than those used for verbal communication. While they excel at war tactics and crafting, their tribal nature still shines through. For many, if not most, Cyrodillic (English) is used clumsily and their limited mastery of the language leaves other races assured of their stupidity. Orc voices should be deep and perhaps a bit gravelly. Tough. Delivery can even be a bit choppy and abrubt. Your voice should also account for the fact that orcs have huge tusks that get in the way of theor speech. This would make 'S' sounds difficult. Esses would sound instead like Sean Connery esses, a litle like 'sh'.

Here is my audition for the Orc voice, reading Umbra's dialog. This was all done in one take so there are a few mistakes in the dialog. Let me know what you think. As with my other auditions, I am not necessarily reading for Umbra in hopes of obtaining that character's part, I am just showcasing what my Orc voice sounds like. I'd be glad to do any unfinished characters.
Hi
These are the lines that that I did for orc Shargam in the Wyrmstooth mission.
I hope you like it.
CptTangerine
both excellent, in tone and quality of recording :)
Hi
I have attached some lines from the Wyrmstooth character. I have tidied up the recording a bit as well to reduce noise etc. Hopefully this will be up to standard.
Cheers!
CptT
This is an orc demo I just kinda winged it on, hope you like it.
Here's a quick run through of an Orc's lines. The voice drifts quite a bit in termsh of eshes, so let me know if there is any particular variation in there that works. :P
This one was a lot of fun, if inconsistent. :)
The person who overheard me record seems to think this hides the youngness of my voice a little. :P
This is a character that my father and I laugh at whenever we hear it. I'm glad my brother loved Morrowind enough to bring this character to life.
This is my attempt. Totally not just doing it for the promise of an arma 3 copy from a friend
Heres a few randomly made up orc lines I decided I would try.
@Scrubmcnoob
Right.. I will be completely honest, and Smitehammer thinks this too... your audition just sounds lazy.. almost like you didn't even try. Maybe you did and maybe you didn't but It would be nice if you could try it again. This time, jut your lower jaw out to simulate tusks and talk with a little more life, still keeping the voice deep.
These recordings were for a Fallout: New Vegas mod that I worked on, but I think they still work. The files for the "Bradley" character would be close to my Orsimer work. As you can see I've got a pretty decent range as long as you don't want me to go too high pitched. lol The "Billy Flea" character is about as high as I can go.

I'd already gotten Umbra and Nar gro-Shagrumph before the reset, so i've already got all the lines and files ready.

https://soundcloud.com/serithi/nar-gro-shagramph-audition This one is missing a line as i understand it, but i don't recall what the line is. Umbra has all the lines though, including one that was missing from the script file on the old VO hub thread.

Hello
My Orc Audition is from Drum Gro-Lag: https://soundcloud.com/aurael-faeth/drum-gro-lag-01
Unedited and recorded on my desktop. Final offered parts would be recorded in a soundproof Radio Studio.

Feedback is insanely welcomed!

@ Serithi
Umbra seems to have a little bit of a sound problem.. It is almost there but there is still some noise and light beep sneaking through occasionally. As we are aiming for immersion those sound would have to be eliminated... It sounds like you have edited well enough.. maybe the noise sample you used for noise removal was flawed or maybe there was something to noise to conquer in your room.. maybe the beep sound is from your microphone, i don't know. Try your best to figure it out. Make sure the microphone cable does not cross any electrical cables.
Nar Gro was better.. i didn't really hear many audio flaws at all.. but there was significantly less to listen to so maybe that is why. Hold off on recording everything again until the problem is sorted. Good luck and if you need additional assistance, catch me in chat sometime and we will figure something out.
Other than that i feel Nar Gro was a little unclear.. I see what you were going for but it still needs to be said so that it is properly understandable ;).. speak clearer and he should be good.
@ Realofoxtrot
hmm.. I don't think you are suited for orc. I think rather than perfecting many races, try narrowing your focus, starting by cutting orc from your list for now.
@Modul0
I am afraid that is definitely not an orc. Sounds like a regular person.. only a little depressed. Other than that the audio was very noisy. Orcs need to generally sound more brutal with a hint of dumb-dumb :P I don't feel inspired and therefore think Orc is not for you.
@Jair-Uh-Mii
Good effort. Unfortunately your regular voice bleeds through a little and the deep voice you are putting on sounds a little un natural. I would say move your focus away from orcs. There are not a lot of them so we have the option to be picky. you are welcome to try again with a different flavour but I am not sure if it will win me over...
@ Langotriel, i recorded those last year, back when i didn't have a soundcard and was making do with onboard audio, so that "beep" sound is just the bit of EM noise that didn't get removed.
I've gotten a high-end soundcard since then, so i'll re-record them when i next get the chance, should be less leftover junk this time.
Also, do you have the full script for Nar, with the missing line i didn't do the first time around?
@Serithi
Awesome! then things will be much better for your next recordings :)
We are in the process of getting all the lines for all the characters sorted. It will be at least a few days.
Some Orc female voice examples. I lowered the pitch a little bit to make it sound more robust.
After a little feedback I was able to re-do my entry for Bakh gro-Sham

The orc is pretty good. A few sound issues which could be cleaned up pretty easily.
Alrighty, Umbra V2. https://soundcloud.com/serithi/umbra-audition-v2
Only partial, didn't want to do the whole thing unless i'm actually assigned :P.
Hello,
Where do I find the scripts for the orcs.
Thanks
Hello,
Here is my go at an orc male. Be gentle :p
Almost like you're whispering. Maybe you're trying to get too low for your voice? Orcs should be bold and brash, and shpeak with eshesh like Sean Connery, to emulate the tusks. Just shove two baby carrots in your lower lip when you talk, or just jut out your lower jaw a bit.
Serethi, Umbra is a warrior poet. Think mixture of this guy... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NOW4QiOD-oc
with the voice of this Worf...

thanks for feedback!
Hello guys! First time in these forums and i decided to give it a try. Here is an attempt for an orc. all criticism is highly welcome! If the audio quality isn't up to par i may be able to borrow a blue snowball from my old high school video teacher.

Some lines from the Orc "Umbra", as voiced by "Bane" from Batman. I'll let you guys decide if it sounds good or just silly.
1 slightly deeper than the other
Here is my attempt at an Orc voice
Hello!
I'd like to (finally) submit a few auditions, as I'm very excited about the project and would absolutely love to contribute. Below is a link to a reading for a male Orc smith reprimanding the player character after a refusal. (Pitch has been lowered 9%.)
https://soundcloud.com/campbell_vo/campbell-jamie-male-orc-s...
Thank you for listening, and I look forward to hearing everyone's auditions!
This is gonna be the second time I throw my voice somewhere so wish me luck I guess! I tried 2 kind of different voices. Any criticisim is welcomed.
Hi there! Thought I'd throw a demo (of sorts) in, as I've done orc voices (among others) here and there in some Skyrim mods.

This is the preview trailer for Duraz, an orc female follower I voiced in Interesting NPCs.
Bashag gro-Snagdu
Orc male, pitch lowered 5%. Can do near-studio quality on request. Advice appreciated.
Hey guys,
Been some time since I played Morrowind, but I always wanted to try voice acting. Here's a sample I recorded of Bugrol gro-Bagul. Just a note - I misspoke a little in it, I'm not auditioning for that specific part, but for any male Orc part. I recorded it on a decent Microsoft headset at home, but I have access to near-studio quality recording equipment if I'm lucky enough to get to the real thing ;)

Female Orc. Think I need to make it huskier but you get the idea.
My attempt at an Orc. Lowered the pitch by 6%. Feedback appreciated.
Dumbuk gro-Bolak
Durbul gro-Rush
I'm a big Orc fan so let me know if it works for you.
I've recorded some lines from Sharn Gra-Muzgob. My goal was to keep them sounding tough but with a lot of personality. Hope you enjoy!
Well, this sounds like a great orc, too bad Sharn gra Muzgob is a female :D
She may be female, but she is certainly not a necromancer.
lol, Maybe she's just a particularly masculine female. Well If there are any non-females that voice might sounds good for let me know.
hi guys. here's my org tryout. let me know what you think thanks
Just threw something together. "Old Orc Dialog" Feedback welcomed.
Umbra is the most available text, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.
Edit: I added another version where I'm pitched down 5%
Hi, I'm new to voice acting and I wanted to try the voice for Dumbuk Gro-Bolak. I know the quality isn't the best right now but if I managed to get confirmed for this role or multiple I'll buy a brand new mic and pop filter ASAP! Feedback always welcome.
