Breton audition - Irish and French
I used to voice bretons for Skyrim mods...I was the former voice of Beatrice in Interesting NPCs, and since she was a breton, I'll share a sample of one of her lines. :)
Also, sorry about the puffs...it's an old recording, and I never took the time to EQ all of the puffs out. For these characters, I will use a pop filter, and anything that gets through will be EQ'ed out completely, by yours truly. :D

I used Maurrie Aurmine for this. To be honest, I've never done anything like this before. So, I apologize a million times over now if I screwed up something. I tend to do that alot. I didn't play with the sound on much and I always thought she had an immature little voice and she mispronounced Nelos's name. I watched a youtube video a bit ago and I heard her voice and it wasn't as young as I thought. I also confused myself with how to pronounce Pelagiad. I was told I was wrong and when I looked it up I was kinda right but the whole discussion confused me. So I say it very odd. I can't say it at all anymore lol. I cant get past "pe-"

There are SO many different directions to go with Bretons. They're a mutt race with so many different little kingdoms and cultural influences they're basically Europe. They also have the distinction of being the only race in Morrowind with an even ratio of men to women, oddly enough. There are very limited Breton roles, but I want them to have as much diversity as we can chuck at them.
Anyway, bla bla backlog. Bla bla short response.

For the Bretons, any accent from Western Europe works pretty much. American accents will be more for Bosmer, Redguards, and Imperials.

The recording is a bit soft. The way the lines are read it’s hard to tell the context (even though, admittedly you don’t have the full context of the lines). The lines need to sound like part of a natural conversation.

This rich authoritative voice shouldn’t be ‘wasted’ on a Breton. Definitely Imperial.

There’s some sound quality issues. It sounds like you’re recording in church, your voice is so low and quiet. You can’t get a range of emotion reading lines so low.

I like the variations. Sound quality seems fair, too. Well acted. I wonder if you could try a French accent? Many of the Bretons (if not most) have Frenchish looking names, and it would be nice if a few of them sounded a little bit French.

A low hum in the background. There’s so much variation possible in Bretons, that we’re trying to go for diversity in accents. If there are any Western European accents you’re particularly good with, try those. Pseudo-British we may be hitting a saturation point, at least for males.

This is me trying out the Breton voice, I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, maybe it might fit another character or race?
The first one is towards the Irish sound of things, and the other is closer to my own voice.
