Hey new and i found something out

Submitted by Jam-med on

ok, so i know some of you had been trying to recreate the voices for morrowind, i'm not sure if you got them yet but i recently was playing around with the files and stumbled upon putting all the sound files from morrowind into the oblivion folder. this somehow worked and i now have voices in Morroblivion XD just wanted to say that if you guys didn't know that. I'm pretty sure you did though :D

If you put rap music to Oblivion music folder, you will listen it in the game.

Problem is we want to make Morroblivion play Morrowind music in Morrowind, Oblivion music in Cyrodill. You probably are listening to them both in the same time.

If anybody managed to do what we wanted, I've never heard of it.

Note: This is a personal answer, not offical. Any wrong information is my fault, not Morroblivion teams'.

yeah, two things, first, poor choice in saying rap music, i despise that, second thing, i kinda found out recently that all i was getting other than a few people talking was the fight sounds and etc. fail on my be half. i'll look into the music thing, i believe that what you need to do is set up an area sort of set up. i mean as in set a kinda node over the whole of the oblivion game area and a node over the whole of the morrowind area, give them different target names and direct all the morrowind SFX to the morrowind area and vice versa. what i am saying here however is a lot easier to say when you just came from modding CoD WaW on the PC seeing as that has a way of making like a center point where the music plays from. plus i got that idea from the CoD WaW zombie mode when you go to different areas so the zombies don't spawn miles away from you. just food for thought. and i sugest you take some ideas learned from CoD WaW (although I do know that they are scripted and compiled completely differently) it just will help give you a few ideas on how to get the SFX to work properly.

I pm'd the creator of better music system to see i5 s/he would add support for morroblivion... Haven't heard back, but this is what would need to happen for music to work right in the different world spaces Also I happen to like rap and hip hop so :-P

If you did not care about the OB music(say you were only using OB to play MW with) could you just add MW music to the data folder and delete OBs?

@Kefka

Absolutely, that's what I did. Always liked MW music better, even in Oblivion, but that's just me.

*GASP* I just forgot weather or not there were voices in morrowind or not *GASP*

another thing, rap and hip hop kinda lost my intrest when it became the thing that most people listened to, i prefer bands like Helloween, Blind Guardian and Galneryus now (all of which are Power metal derived from a combo of speed metal and Fantasy (e.g. dragons etc.))

Hay, I used rap only for giving an example :D, don't care about it; but in order to get best Morroblivion effect, we should seperate them.

Yeah, I'm a metal/core head too. Underoath, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, etc.

If it's rap, I'm totally lost.

Well, David and Thermador are going to be slightly angry because we turned this to music discussion forum but, I stick with classical. Hungarian Dance no: 5- Brahms. The best! Still  with Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Mozart stole my heart... Spring of Vivaldi is another blessing upon us!

Did I seem nerdy enough? Not a hardcore one, but I love them.

Dude, classical is sick! I wasn't really into classical, until took music appreciation class. Since I'm a metal guy, I like listening to Beethoven's 5th Symphony, I could headbang to that.

Vivaldi's Spring is ok, but I like the rest of his season's.

Mozart, well I've heard Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, but I need to check out more of his stuff.

Now Bach is my dawg! He has some good stuff.

But my favorite classical composer is still Beethoven. He's kinda like the first metal artist.

I also like his mellow stuff like Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise.

It's funny listening to Beethoven on my ipod and then metal right after it :)

Moving this to Off Topic.

Raps and hiphops take some time to get used to but give them a chance, you will love it.

Can't listen to metal, too harsh on my ears.  Too much screaming without consideration of lyrical content. To much 'shredding' on guitars without consideration of melody and harmony.

Give me something with some bass.  Besides hiphop, downtempo, triphop, and turntablism-type stuff fills my catalog.  Roots reggae and dub are nice too.  Don't like dancehall.

If I'm forced to, I can handle indie rock but it usually just makes me depressed.  Elliot Smith will literally make me want to kill myself.
