To be honest, these just don't look at all like the rough, alien, proud dark elves of Vvardenfell. They look like some Japanese animator's vision of Tamriel. They'd be completely out of place.
Honestly, somebody needs to work on the face mesh to make them look like they are from the Dunmer race. At the moment it is just human adolescents, with a blue face.
I'm crap in photoshop, but what about something more like this:
I've redone the right side of her face to include under eye bags, brow ridges, and be slightly thinner/more angular, among other things. I think a simple recolor and slight retexture of whoever's drow child this is would create some decent dunmers.
The picture is really dark, I can't see what you mean. Can you lighten the picture please? I still think if we can get it right that children can be included.

Sure! Although the brightness makes her eye look even worse. Yikes.
dude, stop commenting on this thread. You're haven't contributed a single constructive thing. It would be fine if you suggested some constructive criticism but just saying "I don't like this" over and over isn't going to do anything.
This mod is bent on converting the older games into the newer engine and giving it a spit shine... why dont we get the actual morrowind quest and meshes in and working before we start adding unnecessary stuff when the resources can be used on working on getting the BASE project finished.
This is why its good to get any/all threads going now. Yes people can focus on core functionality, but at the same time we get a person (Cybele) who has done 2 posts, and can contribute in a way that nobody else has.
I think we should pin the ears back a bit, but otherwise if you could produce this for us Cybele that would be fantastic, good job.
Aren't most of the people on this site prepubescent? Calling all gamers, any volunteers to lend your voices please?
I actually think some children would be pretty good immersion...this time round however the children are not safe from hack and slash of a man or women gone wild...and we can give children voices a skip, unless somebody gets their baby bro or sis to lend a few lines.
I could definitely voice a Dunmer adolescent, that would be sweet.
EDIT: Just realized how long ago this was. My apologies for the bumped thread!
perhaps some less deeply engrained wrinkles would work well, as they are young they would still have some wrinkles. especially at the corners of their eyes, albeit very shallow. look at the eyes of the kid in this picture, notice that they have wrinkles under as well as the outside of the eye lids.
I would not recommend using the facial morphs of the adults for the children, it in general just looks a bit wrong. This has also been a discussed topic in the past. If you want to add children to the world I would recommend finding a mod that adds a good child race that doesn't interfere with the adult facial morphs, I've seen one that does it hurts. The drow elf race isn't very good for this task for 2 reasons it's adds only 1 child race and the facial structure is vastly different of that of the dark elfs in skyrim, it was built as an addon for a race mod. Drow=/=Dunmer remember this it could save your life. There are currently 2 applicable child adding mods over at lovers lab, because they revamp the vanilla children, and adds all the missing races. I would suggest using one of them as the base.
I'm not sure if happy or who else on the team would be okay adding children into the skywind main project. In fact it would probably be better if it where an addon because then you don't need to worry about asking the author of the mod if you can redist their assets etc. Just have both their mod and skywind as masters and add them to the world, draw up some lore for them, find some people to voice them. If you want there are probably some people in the VA section who would be happy to if you could coordinate the project. The final version of skywind should be treated to modders as another expansion to skyrim drawing assets from, and building upon. Yup a 20 expansion to skyrim.
I'm not gonna go link the mods because I already have and I've gotten enough guff about linking lovers lab links.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. If where going to implement kids we got to make sure it's done right and it should have a purpose. Which would have to include voice work.
I might poop out some concepts of children of different races while doing concepts of the adults. I would not recommend getting onto the children before that, since we don't even know yet what will the adults look like, and I'd like them to go back to Morrowind/Kirkbride feel rather than just staying with Skyrim. That's mostly concerning Dunmer (which I'm already designing), Bosmer, Altmer and Orsimer and perhaps Bretons (other human races can easily just use photo references).
Fun fact most kids in cartoons and animation are voiced by adult females. Example Bart Simpson is voiced by Nancy Jean Cartwright. Pretty sure we have some of those here.
So... I'm new here, but I wanted to say that I am a teenage female and would be willing to give voice acting a try. (I can't be worse than some of the people Bethesda gets, right?) Let me know if I can help voice Dunmer kids. I have an American accent (not southern or anything) and a fairly high-pitched voice that I can manipulate both during and after recording if necessary.
Hey there, been reading through the forum and I really like the idea of Dunmer children I think it would really help with immersion. But I saw you were having a few issues visualizing what they should look like so I made a quick doodle. Hope you don't mind, enjoy.

Not if it is modified in the ways mentioned previously they wouldn't.

That chicken looks like it would fit in better than the children mod...

I call it the Dickmer...
For strictly lore reasons of course. If it were called a Chickmer you might confuse it with an Altmer/chicken hybrid, or a Bosmer/chicken hybrid...
I love it, and I'm not entirely sure why...
lol - that is actually a dunmer chicken...dickmer...not chickenmer or a dark chick?
Those kids remind me of something but I can't quite put a name to it...
Now we just have to get them looking like this...
love your idea but yours look to much comic like
myb some do something like that in the future

but the elves need more wrinkly and have elven eyes, and
I'm 13, but I don't know how to edit or link my recording. If someone were to give me step-by-step instructions, I suppose I could try something.

No idea if we're doing anything with Argonians.
I am looking at voice acting and I'm 14, English and great at impersonations so I would be good at a dark elf child! Lets hope they add them
I'm interested, I could send a sample if you give me a script. Also a direction of what kind of voice
I could do a young male childs voice
And im 12, so i could do the voices pretty easily
