When do you think morroblivion will be polished enough to play?

Submitted by Pigu_lord on

I've never played morroblivion before, but it looks like it's 90% done. How long do YOU personally think it will take? I'm very excited for it.

Morroblivion has been polished enough to play for  2 years or longer now. If you mean when can you play all the quests then I'd say probably the next version, the Bloodmoon expansion pack is about to be fully debugged. However you can already start playing Morroblivion and probably still not have done everything in it when the next update arrives. So it's perfectly playable now, all the quests are done, just don't go to Solstheim. The base game and Tribunal will keep you busy for many hours.

So it's pretty easy to update i'm assuming? and one more thing, I don't know if this is said anywhere, but will oblivion character overhaul work with the morrowind part of the game?

Yes updating is pretty easy and if you don't play the Bloodmoon questlines  your savegame should be compatible. I'm using OCO 2 and results vary, most characters look great with it but  Dark Elves sometimes look a little off, but that's nothing to worry about, the overall improvement is well worth it.

So I just have to actively avoid bloodmoon for now? Are there any npc's I should watch out for so I don't trigger the questline?

You don't have to actively avoid anything really, the questline gets started via a rumor and the quests themselves are actually in a somewhat playable yet buggy state. All you have to avoid is stepping foot on the island of Sosltheim and playing the quests there. There's no need to worry about it while playing the normal game.

Alright, thanks!

Pigu_Lord, I have been playing for quite sometime now and aside from some weirdness I created with my mod installs, it is great fun to play.

Since I am not familiar with the original Morrowind, I did not know about avoiding Solstheim to prevent triggering Bloodmoon. That is good to know. There is plenty to keep me busy in the main quest on Vvardenfell.

Once I have gone as far as I can with that, I plan to send my character to Cyrodiil (once he has the 1000 drakes to spare) and try that out.

Enjoy! This really is brilliant as the Brits might say.

I've played it for a bit, the only thing I don't like is that you have to pay attention very hard when getting directions, so now I cant play when im really tired.

Normally the directions are written  down in the Questlogs, so you can look them up any time you are not sure where to go.
