I gave my try to do a dunmer voice since i saw on the Voice Acting Recruitment video that you guys need some dark elf voices. I recorded it on a laptop so the quality is really bad, but if i wanted to i could get some good mics and record a lot better, just wanted to post something quick for everyone to see.

You definitely have the Dark Elf voice down rather well, only issue is the audio quality is a little bad. Make sure to run it through audacity and eliminate any excess noise while recording if possible.

I cleaned up your Azura file the best I was able, but you need to make sure you're recording in a place where there is as little noise as possible, try and re-record while getting rid of all that extra noise.

Couple issues here, for one you need to make sure you have a pop filter to cut off all of those pops you're getting from the P sounds. Secondly the dark elf needs to sound like Jeff Baker's dark elf, you can see the first post on this thread to get an idea of what that sounds like. Your recording equipment sounds O.K. but you will need to make sure your audio is cleaned up for the final product. Last but not least Voice acting is a lot about how you present your lines, don't just read the lines with a slight accent.

I think you're definitely getting closer to the actual Dark Elf sound, not sure what Smitehammer will say but I imagine it would be "need more rasp, less of your actual voice getting through." Keep working on a complete rasp, then try and add some personality to it.

You've definitely got a good Dunmer voice, if you can get the audio cleaned up a bit. Taerkalith says in the next few days he should have the greetings sorted, and I hope that will be the last step before we start recording. Then we'll have a mass assignment of parts to roll out with the lines.
