Will rehost (mirror) TESRP assets

oi, joshdb here from the original morrowindfiles.com and then oblivionsource.com--

I'm experienced with all the TES installments made with the TESCS and have been modding since TESIII.  The first issue I've found with the website (as the front page clearly says that it it's my job to find something to do if I want to be a contributing member) is that it lacks comprehensive asset hosting: esms, bsas, textures, voices, the Vvardenfell heightmap, etc.--

I can rehost any such of these files.  If hosting via torrent, I'll seed, webseed, DHT seed, whatever--

I can't start working on restoring Fargoth's quest or making sure that Gnaar Mok is adequately swampy without the latest assets.  Can I get a .torrent to the trunk? a repo? an alpha? 0.9ish, or even pre-0.9ish? anything?

Cheers and let me know if this is the wrong place

Sorry for being unclear.  I

Sorry for being unclear.  I worked on Silgrad Tower and Morroblivion but joined the Navy and lost track of the project.  Coming back I found no easy way to download the entire project from a clean slate, so I figured the first thing that this project needs is a torrent containing everything needed to play.  I'm working on compiling that now, but can also contribute a wide range of skills.  I'm going to get my dev env set up first, though, and see for myself what needs to be done instead of asking.  I'll be back if I a) hit a brick wall b) make some fixes/additions that are worthy of sharing or c) find absolutely nothing lacking and just want to say "good job all"

As far as I know, whole

As far as I know, whole version is yet to be released to the public. I believe it's due to its very alpha-like stage, and the files are only open to the developers.

Yeah. And several people in

Yeah. And several people in the chat have strongly disadvised me from putting anything in any form of torrent.

Just as a report, I'm trying to get Skywind started but it appears that the 32 files (600Mb worth) I've found via the installation guide etc. are only enough to get up to Skywind 0.3.3.  I hear that there are much more recent files in a private, developer-only repo.  How is a full stack/jack-of-all-trades developer supposed to start contributing without seeing what areas of the mod need the most work?

I have a Skywind folder with the Skywind Exchanger, Skywind 0.3.3, TESCS patches, stripped esms, Wyre Bash...  So many files from so many individual forum threads that I probably won't be able to retrace where each file came from without returning to the installation guide at https://tesrenewal.com/forums/skywind/skywind-development/2800...  That is *apparently* everything I need to get started with an old version of Skywind.  But if it really is quite old then there's no point because anything unpolished I see may have already been updated by a core dev.

I've also been told (in chat) to just respect that Skywind is in private beta and that I should wait for a public release before contributing anything so I'm really confused about if TES Renewal is actually accepting help from experienced developers or if it's closed to newcomers for now.  Apparently there's an internal version control system for Skywind developers?  I have no idea what the next step to just getting into the mod and seeing what needs to be done

I've also been told that "torrentz" are crap essentially and that I'll be blacklisted if I put any torrents up.  Welp, message received, but the day-long process this nub has gone through just to find and download all the files I'll probably need to get up and running has made me pine for a single-file download/Skywind distribution wizard.  That's in the works though I guess?

I have no idea honestly.  I'm just going to wait and see whether TES Renewal or Tamriel Rebuilt has put more work into their respective Morrowind provinces.

Joshdb, perhaps if you

Joshdb, perhaps if you explained what your skills are, in what capacity you may contribute, and show them your portfolio will help the developers determine what kind of workflow to direct to you. You barged in saying that everyone should have access to the Skywind files in order to put forward any contribution. That is false; there is plenty of work outside of the main game file that needs to be done including (but not limited to) modeling, writing and voice acting.

Simply put; what can you do, and where should we direct you? There are pretty clear directions as to who the leads are and who you need to speak to if you're interested in any given department.
