In vanilla we had a small variety of fresco stuff I think we should have more this kind.
Edited, just added ring. Really small modification but it is good to care of details.

"Through means lost to history, Voryn Dagoth learned of the Dwemer High Craftlord Kagrenac's plan to secretly exploit the Dwemer's discovery, the Heart of Lorkhan, which the Chimer would not have tolerated, considering it blasphemous. Dagoth told Nerevar of this plan, and when Nerevar confronted his friend Dumac about it, relations broke down"

"The two races would not live in peace, as disputes over land and religion regularly led to conflict. They would, however, unite against a common enemy following almost two hundred years of oppression by the Nords of Skyrim, who invaded the area circa 1E 240. Due to the personal friendship between Indoril Nerevar of the Chimer and the Dwarf-King Dumac of the Dwemer, an alliance was formed between them, and the Nords were pushed out by 1E 416. This alliance born out of need formed the First Council"

"The first eruption of Morrowind's gigantic volcano, since known as Red Mountain. Ash spews into the sky and hides the sun for a year. This year is also called Sun's Death or the Year of Winter in Summer."
EDITED LAST ONE

"After the conquest of Hammerfell, Imperial legions massed along the northeastern borders of Cyrodiil, and invasion fleets prepared in Skyrim. Initially, though the Imperial legions and navy were widely considered undefeatable, House Indoril and the Temple hierarchy proposed to resist to the death. Redoran and Dres stood by Indoril, with Telvanni remaining neutral. Hlaalu proposed accommodation."
Now we have 2+4 versions. The last task is to change into sth like that.
If u have some good ideas I can do one or two more.

I'm genuinely enjoying this, really good take on the Dunmer style. I'd love to see that history lesson somewhere in Vivec ;)
This is really cool. Really gives off a similar impression as Alduin's wall in Skyrim, and it is beautifully rendered. It's all very symbolic, on that topic however I believe there should be a Moon & Star representing Nerevar whenever he is depicted like in the first picture. It is his mark after all :)
Were these made in Illustrator? The lines are very good!

@discoccult
Oh no! Creating anything in illustrator is pain in the ass. Only photoshop.
@Mway1
U are right. This fits here better.
I created 4 more. Now we have 8 + 2 original versions
"When Sheogorath rebelled against the Tribunal, he tricked the moon Baar Dau into forsaking its appointed path through Oblivion. The Mad Star inspired the moon to hurl itself upon Vivec's new city, which Sheogorath claimed was built in mockery of the heavens. When Vivec learned of Sheogorath's scheme, he froze the rogue moon in the sky with a single gesture and the grace of his countenance. Overwhelmed by the courage and daring of Vivec, the moon Baar Dau swore itself to eternal service of the Tribunal and all its works. Thus the moon now stands guard over the palace, and serves as a citadel for the Temple's Ordinators."
"Sotha Sil delves into the mysteries of the arcane and the memory of the universe. Through his awareness all events flow and by him the future is shaped. He is the Light of Knowledge and the Inspiration of Craft and Sorcery. Seht's only mystery is an invitation to elaborate further."
"Almalexia wielded her divine power for the protection and benefit of the Dunmer for thousands of years. Sotha Sil largely remained aloof and mysterious, but Almalexia and Vivec both took very active roles in leading their people throughout the First and Second eras. Her acts of amazing power and kindness are countless. Her blessing was said to do extraordinary things, like protect a person infected with Corprus from suffering the disease's effects"
"Eventually, the Tribunal were forced to retire from their previously active lives and devote most of their time to maintaining the magical Ghostfence they erected to prevent Dagoth Ur's sphere of influence from spreading."
Perfect for the interiors of temple walls!!! Amazing!
@Yours Truly
Thanks! I made some adjustments. It looks a bit better.
Holy crap. I was expecting random doodles. Never have I been so wrong. Nice job!
Aaargh... last final update. It is sometimes hard to please myself but I think it is worth that
Depending on how the temples are modeled, a wall of stories would be nice.
@Yours Truly
Meh.. I think it is enough.
These one are for velothi towers, so this style is more weird, shamanic, chaotic and primitive. They will be hollowed in stone with leftovers of paint (red) inside. Of course they are 3k years old + so it will be nice to add some damage and weathering to them. Sth like in this direction.
Depictions of bad deadra, they can be even stretched to fit to columns.
Depictions of good deadra, for columns too. It would be cool effect to add depictions on opposite side of column. You know dual good/bad division.
Trinimac, strongest of the Altmeri ancestor spirits, fought enemies of Altmeri society both without and within. As such, Trinimac and his followers became engaged in trying to halt the Velothi dissident movement.[7] Boethiah, the "Devourer of Trinimac",[10] took exception to the "lies" Trinimac had been spreading about Lorkhan.[4] He tricked Trinimac, ate him, assumed his form, and the dung he excreted became Malacath.[1] The followers of Boethiah and Trinimac rubbed this excrement on themselves to change their skins.[11] It was the followers of Boethiah (i.e, the followers of Veloth) who became the Chimer.[4]Altmeri propaganda portrayed this as a lesson on the dangers of Velothi influence,[1] while Velothi propaganda regarded Trinimac's transformation as punishment for attempting to interfere with their exodus. Malacath himself derided this narrative as being too "literal-minded" (implying the essence of the story, while metaphorical, is somewhat accurate).[12]
So, the Chimer departed. They credited the Good Daedra with teaching them the principles of their new way of life
conflicts between dwemers and orcs
idyllic life after coming to "promised land"
Some patterns for general use.
---------------------
One which could be quite nice to add if someone has got some free time. It would be to add some sounds cool effects (double echo,acoustic resonance) like in this historical example (1, 2)
1st and 3rd images have most great style.
Sure temples could use many different fresca with lines of walking people.
hollowed rock? you just made my life 10x harder you git :P
nah but these are beautiful :)

I didn't know this is such a problem :P Other thing is that whatever is done in stone looks good.
Btw. Free space could be used for some additional pre-dunmer inscription, but this is optional.

Oh... it's looks you are right, thanks buddy
ideally id ask for one more horizontal one, and the cool dome design i gave u the details for.

I hope you didn't work on them already, I changed a bit design to keep them more consistent.
wont be using these for another week. hyou have time
Both ideas are great, but idea with godlights hole would compete with idea of "In the center are initials of (Mephala, Azura, Boethiah)". Maybe initials can be placed in ring around hatch.
---
I wonder how interior would look with proper green light (from green-glass windows) + light from torches and lamps.
What would be used to close hole in ceiling? Can dunmers refine glass? Or there can be hatch (it must be closed in case of ash winds).
Just one nitpick: I'd rather take advantage of the fact that "sh" is a single sound and label Sheogorath with two daedric letters, "SH" instead of just "S". Seth, the daedric "S", is already somewhat reserved for Sotha Sil in religions portrayals, to the point where he's more frequently referred to as "Seth" than "Sotha Sil" in the 36 sermons. Seeing the same seth letter next to Sheogorath feels blasphemous.
Side note: in general labeling Daedric princes with 2 letters might be a good convention, to portray them more distanced than single-letter A-S-V. I believe this trend already exists in the Graffiti thread, by the way.
To clear out everything forever.
VAS is derivative form of MAB
For modern depictions
Hmm, we have 5 deadric princes with beginning letter M. So in trouble situation we can use last and first letter, to keep it short. (Macalath (MH), Mehrunes Dagon (MN), Mephala (MA), Merida (MD), Molag Bal (ML) For rest AR(azura), BH(boethiah), Clavicus Vile (CE), Hermaneus Mora (HA), Hircine (HE), Namira (NA), Nocturnal (NL), Peryite(PE), Sanguine(SE), Sheogorath (SH), Vaermina (VA)
Oh, and a bit of lore background on the Sotha Sil picture: the Dreaming Cavern is an actual place on Artaeum and a "door to Oblivion" - a permanent portal to one of the Oblivion realms. The portrayal of Sotha Sil's negotiations in 2920 series does not fit this image well.
However, all three Tribune images capture their general roles very well. Sotha Sil is mysterious to most Dunmer, living in seclusion and performing some unknown research. 2920 attributes almost reality-shaping powers to his lab. So I believe this passage would suit the image better:
Sotha Sil delves into the mysteries of the arcane and the memory of the universe. Through his awareness all events flow and by him the future is shaped. He is the Light of Knowledge and the Inspiration of Craft and Sorcery. Seht's only mystery is an invitation to elaborate further.
A and V are reserved for Ayem (Almalexia) and Vehk (Vivec) respectively. Jyggalag is not mentioned in Chimeri tradition, he's only known as Sheogorath.
So we only have Peryite and Boethiah without first-letter ambiguities, at which point it might be a good idea to make all Daedric princes two-letter abbreviations, just for the symbolism of it.
And I'd abbreviate Clavicus as either CS or CV. But at the end of the day I don't have any strong opinion on any of these topics :)
bursts of white fire lit up the upper arches of the hall before disappearing, and smells assaulted him, rancid death one moment, sweet flowered perfume the next
I think it could be more or less indirect poetic interpretation. The whole MW things are quite symbolic. Not everything should be have some direct depiction. But his description is better.

Maybe for all "modern" dunmer (you know to give distinction from trinity). These letters (MAB) will be only used in Velothi towers (the only velothi leftovers). So we don't have problems. Story shouldn't be too much consistent because it sounds a bit unnatural to me when nothing is changing through 3k years. For graffiti 2 letters signs and for modern depictions are ok.

This temple is 3000 years + old. I wanted to give some link in this case. You know triangle with mehpala azura and boethiah and similar letters like in VAS. Similarity like in example of Dionysus cross and Christian cross. Just to show some transition.
I've sort out things in graffiti topic, there is no mess now.
